Top Ten Reasons Not to Make Best/Worst TopTenners Lists

I can honestly admit that I haven't added myself to ANY TopTenners lists. If you care about site popularity in any way, then adding yourselves to lists isn't going to help you achieve it. It will only make you seem desperate, and seeming desperate is something you should AVOID doing on the TopTens if you want to be respected by the masses.

Don't feel ashamed to admit it if you do want to be popular, as it is human nature to want to be superior. Just remember that the most popular TopTenners (BritGirl, PositronWildHawk) are RESPECTED, not desperate.

One thing I'm sick to the back teeth of is looking through my list feed and seeing that most of the activity on the list of users who deserve more attention is people voting for themselves. It's often the same user coming back to do it over and over, and often with an empty argument about why they're flawless. This just exposes their weakness as a shoddy user. You only deserve a place in our hall of fame if you actually take time to make worthwhile lists and not try so hard to flatter everyone, including yourselves.

I don't add myself to any of those types of lists. In fact, I could care less if I'm on any of them, because I don't care about popularity on this site. It's better to be on this site to simply have fun and not compete for popularity.

I'm not on the " best users list" because I don't add myself. If I do add myself, it would be on a list I made, and it is usually last.

Unless it's a worst list.
