Reasons Why the 21st Century is Better Than the 20th Century
But does better technology really make our lives better?
Really? In what fields?
Internet was still YOUNG in the 20th century. It's only been around since 1998, if I remember correctly, or is that Google?
The old internet sucks
Give me the caring, unselfishness, slower-paced era of the 1940s. Things are far too fast now. Most people are only out for themselves. Heck, things like bus queues don't even exist anymore. It's all "move out my way, I'M coming through" in this era. Self self and more self. "me, myself and I" Awful. Technology may be better but that's about all.
Less racism? You think so? I agree with Visitor. There is a lot more racism against white people. A few weeks ago, a black girl (am I allowed to say that) got on the bus, sucked her teeth and said loudly, "Hate this stinkin' bus, too many white people." I wonder what the outcome would have been if it had been the other way round. Racism against white people is getting worse but we just have to suck it up and keep our mouths shut.
You obviously didn't do your research. There's a lot of wars going on right now.
Seriously, we are only at the beginning of this century
But a lot of it is bland.
The authentic women's rights movement peaked in the TWENTIETH century, having achieved all rational parity (and quite a bit that is irrational, like 5'2", 105 pound Marines, cops and firefighters).
Um, not really.
How is that a GOOD thing? There's something called overcrowding.
