7 They were better than the Beatles

AC/DC was a total unknown bar band in the late 1960's and most of the 1970's. They did not even have a top 100 album until 1979. Lots of mid-level bands were finally able to break out once The Beatles were no longer there to compete, not to mention Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, and Elvis Presley were dead, and Brian Wilson was locked deep in his psychosis.

8 Their 1969 hit High Voltage Rock and Roll is still more popular than the 2009 hit Hey Soul Sister
