Reasons Why American Cartoons Are Not Overrated
I have seen a few people say American cartoons are overrated and I'm shocked that people would think that because of all the backlash they get.Amines like Hetalia, Strike Witches, Dragon Ball Z, Elfen Lied, Kodomo no Jikan, Naruto, Boku no Pico, and Fist of The North Star and most hentai/ecchi are overrated and completely idiotic. Since a lot of weeaboos worship these shows made by sociopathic adult men who can't talk to a lady; Hayao Miyasaki is right all along guys; otaku killed most animes. I prefer Ralph Bakshi, Robert Crumb, Genndy Tatoversky, Chuck Jones, Yashihiro Nightow, and Rebecca Sugar over most mainstream animes any day.
P.S. there are some animes (Trigun and kill la kill are my current favourites due to the animation like, but there's very few of them.
It makes no sense that people call American cartoons overrated, yet they call anime underrated when more people like anime than American cartoons. THIS REASON HAS NO HATE DEDICATED TO ANY OTAKU. I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST THEM OR ANIME ITSELF.
I'm fairly certain this isn't true, families from 100s of different countries love the likes of looney tunes and the Simpsons, way more than people who watch Anime
After I wrote this list I found out that people in Japan are more Disney obessed than the average American
American cartoons of today and the 90s get hated on by those people who were kids were Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry and Yogi Bear were making new episodes and the 90s are getting hate from the people who like today's cartoons because it was made in the 90's and they are tired of hearing the decade being praised. Nothing is wrong with liking today's cartoons, they are still great yet underrated.
Cartoons like Babar, Wander Over Yonder and etc get too much hate.
Some people say that cartoon styles are unappealing. Have they ever watched anything made by Disney? Snow White, Fantasia, their cartoons, Gravity Falls, The 7D, Dave the Barbarian, Beauty and The Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Frozen Lion King? What about looney tunes, tom and jerry, and animaniacs and tiny toons. All these shows and may more have great styles and tons of energy to it.
In fact, anime has horrible animation. The characters don't use they're tongues to talk! Japanese people are so lazy they can't put facial expressions on the characters. Plus, American animation has great humor. Anime is so serious and all sci-Fi fantasy nonsense. :(
Steven Universe has a great art style
People say that since American cartoons are for kids and adults watch them, that makes it overrated. No it doesn't. Adults can watch American cartoons. There is nothing wrong with that. There are some cartoons that were made just for adults like Family Guy or Futurama. There are also cartoons that were made for both kids and adults like Animaniacs, Looney Tunes, Duck Tales, Gravity Falls, The 7D, The Simpsons, Adventure Time, The classic disney cartoons from the 30s-50s and many more.
Tons of people remember shows like Underdog, Top Cat, Captain Caveman, and so forth. You're just asking the wrong people who aren't that into American cartoons.
Another reason people say their overrated is because they take old shows like Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes and make countless spinoffs. That doesn't make it overrated, that means someone who really liked this show wanted these characters to be more well known then they already were and to bring them in to this generation without being all cool and hip and things like that.
They are tons of good cartoons and movies that were made today like Frozen. Winnie the Pooh, Wreck-it-Ralph, Tangled, Gravity Falls, The 7D, Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball, The Tom and Jerry Show, Regular Show, Fish Hooks, and many more.
Other good shows: Dan Vs, Legend of Korra, Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, Kick Buttowski, Star vs. The Forces of Evil, WordGirl, The Looney Tunes Show, most Marvel and DC caroons.

I have barely heard any fart jokes in the cartoons of today or cartoons of the 90s or 30s and 40s and 50s. Most of those jokes come from the cartoons that are actually bad like Fanboy and Chum Chum or Breadwinners or Sanjay and Craig.
Recently I had a bad fight with my boyfriend (we are back together now, yay). Meanwhile, I was in the middle of watching Total Drama Presents: The Ridonculous Race. I watched a few episodes, and all the feelings of hate, betrayal and depression had faded away for the next 24 hours. Thanks to the show I only took three days to recover and it has topped my leaderboard of best Total Drama seasons. World Tour has been dropped to number two!
If people are sad, they mostly go to a good cartoon to make them laugh or cheer up, or they decide to watch the magic of disney again. Yes you can do this with Japanese anime to except the magic of disney part.
I actually think Rocko is reaching the overrated territory (even though I like this show). If you want to see an underrated cartoon, look at Star vs. the Forces of Evil.
Cartoons are special to people because they aren't realistic. Most of us grew up on the magic of Disney and the hilarity of Warner Brothers. We can use are imaginations that we are in the shows they make.. You can do this with Japanese Anime too, but more people grew up on American cartoons.
To the person who made this list, there's a variaty of amazing shows today like Steven Universe, Star vs the forces of evil, Adventure time, Wander over yonder, The amazing world of gumball, We bare bears, Star wars rebels, etc. You just hadn't given them a chance yet, but trust me, once you do, yoy won't regret it ; )
