Avril Lavigne has always been one of my favorite singers of the modern era, that was because she was different than the other Pop singers of her era because she played music that was influenced by rock and even some Metal and Punk.
Over the years Avril created a lot of hit songs which got a lot of air play and while she's not as popular as singers like Taylor Swift or Beyonce she is still successful and her music stood the test of time because many people are still listening to her.
