Reasons Why The Buggles Deserve More Attention
The Age of Plastic Album is a good start. They have great songs like Living in the Plastic Age, Elstree, Astroboy(proles on parade), Clean Clean, and many more. Even there is another great album called Adventures in Modern Recording; It's basically my favorite -
It's true. For example, I am a Camera, Video Killed the Radio Star, Astroboy, Adventures in Modern Recording, and quite many more. I am a Camera is a great example of his genius. Both Video killed Radio Star and Adventures in Modern Recording seem to be ironic because Video killed the Radio Star is the first MTV video, and Adventures in Modern Recording was being created in 1981.
Yes, people, one of the best movie composers of all time named Hans Zimmer was on the British Pop band called The Buggles. He only performs on the album Living in the Plastic Age ONLY.
Yes, he is not associated with his own created band called The Buggles, but it's one of these following bands: Yes(Both Downes and Horn), Asia(Downes), and Art of noise(Horn). He's even the producer of Frankie goes to Hollywood, I think.
For me... all of the songs I've heard are very good, to be honest. Except for Blue Nylon, it was quite bland, but it's catchy though.
I googled a UK magazine that says that he is the man who invented the 80s. There are also other internet sources that say that he is the man who invented the 80s. For example, Times UK. The name was given thanks to his influence on pop and electronic music of the 1980s.
This is totally true?
Sure, they made not make as much music, but all the songs in there are great! The albums are Living in the Plastic Age & Adventures in Modern Recording. I would still consider Living in the Plastic Age to be their best work.
Before that, he was the leading vocals for the Yes album Drama in 1980. The album is met with mostly positive reception. Keyboardist Geoffrey Downes also plays on that album.
