Top 10 Reasons Why Cartoon Network and Disney Channel are Better Than Nickelodeon

Yes, in recent years, Cartoon Network and Disney Channel mostly suck, but back then, they were the best two networks for kids, compared to Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon was even considered the black sheep of the original kid three.

The Top Ten

1 They don't air too much SpongeBob

Every channel in the world > Cartoon Network (excluding Adventure Time and Regular Show)

This is how I rank the channels:
1. Disney
2. Nickelodeon
3. Cartoon Network

Yes, CN nowadays air too much TTG, and Disney today air too much sitcoms (or do they), but they were kings of animation, but Cartoon Network was the best one. SpongeBob DID used to be good until "Good Neighbors" came out. SpongeBob became a LOT worse after the second theatrical movie. - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

2 Many Classic Nicktoons never aged well

Yeah, but the same goes for the other two channels

True, Cartoon Network and Disney Channel had classic cartoons that never aged well, such as Cow and Chicken, Mike, Lu & Og, I Am Weasel., Buzz on Maggie, and Shorty McShorts Shorts. However, Nickelodeon had a lot MORE cartoons that aged worse than milk, such as Doug, Rugrats, Wild Thornberrys, Rocket Power, Pelswick, Oh Yeah! Cartoons, Fairly OddParents!, ChalkZone, Jimmy Neutron, and All Grown Up! - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

3 Disney Channel had Toon Disney

Remember the good old days of Recess? - FreeBoy

Toon Disney was awesome! It was too bad that it and Jetix were replaced by Disney Ex-Dee. I know Nickelodeon has Nicktoons Network, but still. - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

4 Nickelodeon only had some good cartoons in the 1990s

Yes, SOME. Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Aaahh! Real Monsters, KaBlam!, Angry Beavers, and PRE-season 4 SpongeBob (post-movie and post-sequel do not count). Hey Arnold! and CatDog were okay, but the rest? Not so much. - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

Honestly, every Nicktoon from the 90s (aside from Klasy Csupo shows, where Rugrats was the only good one) were good. Rocko's Modern Life, CatDog and the Angry Beavers were definitely the best of the lot.

Compared to CN, which had several duds (Ed Edd n Eddy, Cow and Chicken, I Am Weasel and MAYBE Mike Lu and Og) but was still good.

Disney was also okay, but most of their shows weren't as good as Nick's. - KalloFox34

5 Nickelodeon has Nick Jr.

Yes, Disney Channel and Cartoon Network also had terrible preschool shows, but Nickelodeon was the one who started this tragedy. - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

I hate Dora the Explorer. - FreeBoy

6 Aaahh!!! Real Monsters was their only good show made by Klasky Csupo

Because the monsters are SUPPOSED to be gross, ugly, scary, and disturbing. The other Klasky Csupo Nicktoons just look downright awful! I mean, Rugrats is just about babies, and their lame adventures. The Wild Thornberrys is just about a family who makes boring nature documentaries. Rocket Power is just about kids doing sports. As Told by Ginger is just about a typical girl. As for the Rugrats spin-offs, they're just as bad as the original. - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

Nah, in my opinion Rugrats is the only good one. - KalloFox34

7 Jimmy Neutron is just a copycat of Dexter's Laboratory

Just because they're about boy geniuses doesn't make it a ripoff. That's like saying Family Guy copied The Simpsons because they're both about nuclear families with slightly similar personalities.

Besides, Jimmy Neutron's concept predates Dexter's Lab. - KalloFox34

The last two seasons of Dexter's Laboratory were more entertaining than Jimmy Neutron. - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

Don't forget that The Fairly OddParents copied the artstyle of Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo and the Powerpuff Girls. - FreeBoy

8 Cartoon Network has Boomerang

Even if Boomerang is no longer as good. - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

9 Schneider's Bakery shows are atrocious

Dan Schneider is KILLING Nick! Victorious and How to Rock are his worst shows yet! - FreeBoy

Don't get me started on iCarly. - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

10 Cartoon Network and Disney had Craig McCracken, and Nickelodeon didn't

I know Nickelodeon had Rob Renzetti, Joe Murray, and C. H. Greenblatt, but still. - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

The Contenders

11 Nickelodeon airs Nick Jr. shows too much

Only item I agree with. - KalloFox34

More than half of the day is Nick Jr. and the night is all Nick@Nite. Nickelodeon is only like 5 hours long.

12 In the late 2000s, Disney Channel had Phineas and Ferb, while Cartoon Network had Chowder and Flapjack

And nickelodeon has Danny Phantom and Avatar: The Last Airbender

I'm also sorry for how I treated Phineas and Ferb fans. I was made fun of for liking Phineas and Ferb back in the 5th and 6th grades. Looking back, Phineas and Ferb, along with Chowder and Flapjack, DID help revive T.V. animation. Nickelodeon could have had the Modifyers and Making Fiends if they weren't so greedy over that yellow sponge. - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

13 Cartoon Network's 2000s shows were the most notable ones

Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Teen Titans, Evil Con Carne, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, Camp Lazlo, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Flapjack and Chowder were all awesome!

What did Nick have to show for it? The X's, Fanboy & Chum Chum, Avatar: the Last Airbender, ChalkZone, As Told by Ginger, All Grown Up, Jimmy Neutron, The Mighty B, El Tigre and Back at the Barnyard, ALL OF WHICH SUCKED! - FreeBoy

14 Nick's newer shows rely too much on gross jokes

Breadwinners, Fanboy and Chum Chum, Planet Sheen and Seasons 6-8 SpongeBob are the worst examples. - KalloFox34

15 Nickelodeon knows how to make good cartoons and was the first channel for kids
