FFLA Triple Pack: Coronavirus lists
NuMetalManiak Coronavirus season looks like it is never going to end, isn't it. Yes, this virus has caused so many things and a triple dose of Full-fledged List Analysis is one of them. It's been at least two months since I did the last FFLA (The Monthly Analysis on the Worst Things of 2020 doesn't count). Things Coronavirus Has Done To Countries and People
That last list is a self-moderated list but has notable points to it so I'll still do it. Regardless, let's begin with Top Ten Reasons Why the Coronavirus Should End.
1. So normal life can continue: I mean duh. There's a lot going on all because of the hysteria over the virus moreso than the virus itself.
2. So the loss of life will be stopped: It's really not possible to stop this though. Of course, telling how some people may unknowningly or perhaps KNOWINGLY spreading the disease around, one really does wonder why it spreads.
3. So Sports will come back: Ties in to #1 given that so many events got cancelled.
4. So people would stop panicking: Basically the cause of #1. Leaders of events/businesses/organizations panic, close stuff down, and then people in supermarkets are being not just selfish, but also misinformed thinking this will be the end of the world so now they have to buy all the necessities! Except this causes MORE PANIC and worse yet there are people who need them more than the panickers do.
5. So we can have toilet paper back: What is it with toilet paper? Are the people who panic buy them full of s***? (yes, an obvious joke).
6. So we can hold an election later this year: Oh it's gonna happen regardless. They wouldn't dare extend this period of panic for eight more months.
7. So we can all go in public: Technically, unless you are or have someone nearby that tested positive, you can go out, although of course the ideals of limiting social interaction are a major issue.
8. So TheTopTens won't shut down: Already replied to this item before the list got taken down for a different one. This site can't possibly shut down because of a virus.
9. So our government can calm down again: Don't just say our government. Other governments are trying to handle it, but many are worse than ours at doing so.
10. So walmart employees can rest: And don't forget that it's not just Walmart but most other retail stores, and even including pharmacies. The employees talk to normal people about this stuff and are frankly sick of it.
One list down, two more to go, Reasons Why The Coronavirus is Boring.
1. Most locations are closed: Some places are still open, but they tend to do this regardless of what is going on that is dangerous for employees and customers. Some bosses don't get it.
2. You need to sanitize every 5 seconds: Actually you don't. You just need to do it before deciding to interact with people.
3. Online School limits interaction: Well at least schools are trying to get kids to learn
4. You have to wear a mask everywhere: Well masks have been proven to be ineffective against this virus.
5. Several events were cancelled: This ties in to the first item.
6. Fan-less March Madness: The whole thing was basically cancelled, wasn't it?
7. You can hardly leave the house: You technically can just limit your interactions and keep your hands sanitary.
8. Every day you live in fear: TURN OFF THE NEWS AND STAY AWAY FROM OTHERS THEN.
9. There's nowhere to escape to: Does this refer to places that have strict laws that prevent you from being free?
10. March madness cancelled: We go from Fan-less March Madness to straight up cancelled, called it.
11. Chinese product production slows: Not boring, but actually terrible because the lack of production could mean problems economically.
12. NBA Season Cancelled: They've got to revive the season somehow once this ends.
13. Movies Being Delayed: Don't know if they're being delayed, but movie theaters are mostly closed.
14. No Sports: You've already mentioned this.
Finally, Things Coronavirus Has Done to Countries and People
1. Very Long Class Suspension: For two weeks. This could lead to make up days and what not.
2. High Security to Check When You Have Covid-19: Not in every place, but usually places of high travel like airports. Which begs the question why is everyone traveling with this virus on the loose. Also we've had high security for a long time.
3. Malls are Closed: Because of the large-scale social interactions going on in malls usually. Although I'm sure not all of them are closed.
4. Community Quarantine: I'm curious as to what community you live in. Is it so bad over there?
5. Low Number of Cars on Road: This is a GOOD THING. The people are not causing traffic jams for stupid reasons thankfully.
6. Hoarding Toilet Paper: This is THE WORST THING on so many levels. The only thing I can say is hopefully the hoarders stay away from the supermarkets for months.
7. Higher Death Rate: Higher hysteria rate more likely, which could lead to higher deaths. Or not. Still, the other pandemics we survived are worse.
8. Social Distancing: Fine if you're introverted. Otherwise this is detrimental.
9. People Panicing: Basically this contributed to other reasons on this list. And you know what makes them panic? MEDIA.
10. More Face Mask Users: I don't know if you get scared by them wearing masks, but they are trying not to spread it. Although what I said earlier they really don't prevent the spread.
The one thing I hate about these three lists is that not one of them mentions the media, and how much they have caused the main reason why the coronavirus is so bad, the extreme hype and hysteria. Regardless, some good points overall.
