Top 10 Reasons Why Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha is Better Than Puella Magi Madoka Magica
The Top Ten
1 The show isn't cruel and mean-spirited towards its characters
2 Nanoha Takamachi isn't a wimp like Madoka Kaname
Sure, Nanoha started out as a girl who felt unsure of what to do with her life and didn't have a close connection with her peers but at least, she grew to become a more outgoing, hot-blooded, and overall outgoing woman over the course the series unlike Madoka!
3 It actually balances its dark and psychological themes with a douse of humor, wit, and action
4 The characters actually grow throughout the series
5 It doesn't feel pretentious
6 It's not as unoriginal and uninspired
MGLN (especially the first 3 seasons) is a clever mix between the mecha and magical girl genres while PMMM is just your stereotypical magical girl deconstruction that tries so hard to be edgy that it isn't even funny.
7 It doesn't portray magical girls in a negative light
I know that PMMM is a deconstruction of the magical girl genre but that's no excuse to give the genre a bad name.
8 It has better animation
Despite me liking Nonoha better I liked Puella's animation better because of it's unique art style.
9 It has better fight scenes
10 It actually teaches good morals
The Contenders
11 Cooler outfits
12 It's actually a funny show
13 PMMM girls wait for their death
14 Better character designs
