Top 10 Reasons Why New Music is Better Than Old Music

Reasons why the music of the 21st century is better than music from the 20th century.
The Top Ten
1 Old music is boring

What the heck is this list? How could anyone even compare today's bland music artists with unoriginal lyrics to legends such as The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Queen, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, The Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Doors, Black Sabbath, Metallica, AC/DC, Guns N'Roses, Nirvana, ZZ Top, etc.?
Besides, for those who hate old music, I'll let you know that THEY are the reason as to why you all have today's "so-called" music!
Be thankful that they have existed, because without them, you wouldn't even listen to today's music!

I know most music from the 70's or before is very boring although there were some punk bands that started in the 70's.For me 90's and 2000's music is the best and not all music from the 2010's is bad.Twenty One Pilots,Imagine Dragons,Kendrick Lamar and Ed Sheeran are artists that were popular in the 2010's and they're good.-LitSavage

Don't confuse boring with original. Mainstream pop is what's boring, not iconic classics.

Not true. Modern pop is way worse. But modern rock is better, sometimes

2 New music is catchier

No! I remember playing Billie Jean on my guitar when I was 7 (I didn't play very well of course)and I still remember my instructor singing 2 4 5 4 which taught me what's notes to play.(I didn't use letter notes because I was a kid.)24542454245242452442525

Excuse me? Have you heard Billie Jean by Michael Jackson or any of the Beatles songs? These songs basically define catchy.

More new music has gotten stuck in my head than old music. And catchy is better.

Catchier doesn't mean better.

3 New music is more exciting

Not necessarily!

4 New music lyrics make better sense

Sure, some old music lyrics doesn't make sense when you first listen, but there is a certain beauty in things you can't really understand, like life, death or love. The lyrics in old songs that aren't really clear have a meaning behind them. This can (in really rare cases) apply to new music. But if its just some guy with gummy worms for hair saying gucci gang over and over again and the majority of new music, it either has no meaning, or their just telling you that they're the kind of people to sell their cars for gas money. If it does have meaning, it probably is a selfish, catty or malicious one.

That's false as many raps use mumbling you can't tell a word there saying

New music is just some guy yelling Gucci Gang.

5 You can dance better to new music

Um I am 15, and I would rather dance to Commotion by CCR (anything by them really) then ANYTHING on top 40 pop

Have you heard of Michael Jackson?

You can dance to old music too.

This depends...if you do party hard edm, then sure. But do you choose thank u next over thriller?!

6 Old music artists cannot sing

So you're telling me that Freddie Mercury, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Robert Plant, Paul McCartney, Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Whitney Houston, Barry White, Louis Armstrong, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, David Bowie, Jeff Buckley, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Ian Gillan, Roger Daltrey, Paul Rodgers, Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, etc., couldn't sing at all?
Well, you're obviously wrong. They actually COULD sing, and they could do it A MILLION TIMES BETTER than today's so-called "artists"!
Back in the 20th century, singers put a lot more effort in singing and that's why they succeeded, unlike today's lazy artists who edit their voice with computers and will be forgotten in about a year or less!

No, they can! So you're saying Freddie Mercury, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, Elvis Presley, and other music artists of the 20th century can't sing? Well, okay.

If you believe old music artists cannot sing, you obviously haven't listened to them.

I can say the same for some music artists of today.

7 New music has more songwriters and producers

And that destroys the creativity and talent in the artists themselves...

And why exactly does this prove it's better?

8 Old music artists don't care for their fans

Ariana Grande wishes death on her fans.
Justin Bieber spits on his fans.
6IX9INE chokes his fans.

I'd love to see you prove your obviously wrong point.

How are you sure?

9 New music is easier to make

Wouldn't this technically be a bad thing? - Lucretia

That means we get more artist and more music.

That means artists are talentless.

10 There are more genres in modern music

Metal (usually old)= Heavy metal, Black metal, death metal, thrash metal, power metal, etc.
Pop (usually new)= Pop that's it.

The Contenders
11 Physical instruments are outdated

Synthesizers are the best!

This is stupid.
