Don't get me wrong The Beatles are still one of my favorite bands, but I think Pink Floyd is a little better. Here's a list of reasons why I, and other people, may think Pink Floyd is better.The Top Ten
1 The Beatles did not have songs like Us and Them, and Have a Cigar.
2 David Gilmour was a better guitarist than George Harrison.
Can't even compare those two.
3 Pink Floyd had better music on The Piper at the Gates of Dawn than the Beatles had on Please Please Me.
4 Pink Floyd has a better sound.
5 Most of Pink Floyd's albums were concept albums while most of The Beatles albums were just compilations of songs.
6 Pink Floyd had better live performances.
7 The Beatles were only around for ten years while Floyd were around for nearly fifty.
It was by choice, not lack of success and popularity.
8 Pink Floyd was on tour for longer.
9 Pink Floyd popularized progressive rock.
10 The Beatles did not make Echoes.
