Reasons Why the Pokémon GTS and Wonder Trade are Hilariously Bad

The Top Ten
1 You can stick a rare Pokémon into the GTS, name it "6 IVs" and get legendaries for it
2 People flood Wonder Trade with Route 1 trash

I do it too, but mostly either to troll or recycling back into the stream of trash.

Once, I traded a Magikarp for a level 100 Shiny Arceus. I regret nothing.

3 Hilariously bad offers on the GTS

Can I have your Landorus for my Bidoof?

4 Pokémon with offensive nicknames

I heard about this guy on GameFAQs who got a Weedle named "P00P EATER" on Wonder Trade, and that's one of the cleanest things on there. The same guy got a Dialga named "JewsDid9/11".

5 It's easy to get whatever you want on GTS

Besides the so-called "6 IVs" Pokémon, you can get virtually anything for a Wish Eevee, and to a lesser extent, Unown.

6 Blatantly hacked mons

One of my Espurrs got me a shiny level 100 6 IV Therian Landorus, for example. I also got a shiny 6 IV level 100 Shaymin through Wonder Trade yesterday. Not that I'm complaining or anything.

One of the reasons I don't do wonder trades or gts anymore.

7 Level 99 Charmanders, Bagons, Dratini, etc.

Only works on Wonder Trade, and often come with nicknames like "NoFlyZone", "NoMenceForU", etc.

8 They're both insanely addictive in spite of their flaws
9 You don't know exactly what you get on GTS until you get the desired Pokémon

So, if you ask for a Kadabra on GTS, it will come with an everstone, so it won't evolve if it's traded to you. Or, if you ask for a legendary, someone may trollhack it to give it 0 IVs in every stat and a horrible nature (e.g. Lax)

Oh, and yesterday, I asked for Tornadus for one of my Espurrs. I got it, but it had 2 0 IVs (in Attack and Special Attack), so it was pretty much useless. I ended up pawning it on Wonder Trade.

10 On Christmas, there's an endless stream of Delibirds
