Top Ten Reasons Why Rock Music Is the Best

The Top Ten
1 It never gets old

Rock has the abillity to stay fresh. Pop ( and certainly today's pop ), rap, R&B, Techno etc... are just popular forms ( pop is the short term of popular ) which means that they are popular for a moment and for a certain time. When you hear after ten years a pop song it sounds old and it's boring. It has more to do with nostalgia than being fresh sounding when you hear a ten year old pop song on the radio. Rock on the other hand can sound as fresh as when it came first out.

YES!
It's true it never gets old.rock fans could listen 50 years rock songs but pop music fans hardly could listen 10 years old songs

I still listen jailhouse rock.stairway to heaven or highway star but many friends of mine can't listen Michael jackson's songs.Yesterday they used to say "Justin Bieber is great",today they say Justin biber is foul but one direction is great. tomorrow they will say one direction is worst.

Is it even possible to get sick of Three Days Grace? I've been listening to them almost every day of the last 11 months, and I can't seem to get unattached to them. In fact, I only love them more!

So true! ROck music will never die! Green Day and Evanescence are my favorite bands

2 They write their own songs

Not really " a " main reason why rock is the best. Folk singers write most of the time also their lyrics.

Exactly. They put passion into their songs, man.

Most of the time.

3 No autotune

Autotune should have never been invented!

Think about Freddie Mercury.

Only manual tune is allowed!

Not all pop has this.

4 No Technology

What about electric guitars? Huh? Huh?

5 Their songs are meaningful

Definitely meaningful songs Holiday by Green Day points out how terrible politicians are, Never Too Late by Three Days Grace tells the story of a suicidal presence that people can overcome if they try hard enough Highway to Hell by ACDC generally is about how the human race sins and how we're already on a highway to hell and etc. there's probably more I forgot but eh all I could think of. Still though this genre has a lot of meaningful songs so counting down of all them would take a really long time.

Agreed. 'Just like you'by three days grace tells us to stop being pushed around and 'i don't want to be here anymore'by rise against show us everything that is wrong with the world from missing children to war.

Rock songs talk about real stuff not about butts and money

If The Beatles are even on here then why aren't Muse or Nirvana or Metallica in the top 3?

21 The Diversity

This is, without a doubt, the biggest advantage of rock music in comparison to other music genres (at least in my opinion).

22 It plays a big part in music
23 They create the music by playing their instruments

That's why it never gets old.

24 Metallica Metallica is an American Heavy/Thrash Metal band formed in 1981. The original lineup was James Hetfield (Vocalist and Rhythm guitarist), Dave Mustaine (Lead Guitar), Lars Ulrich (Drums), Ron McGovney (Bassist). The group came into mainstream from their Self-Titled album and the hit single "Enter Sandman".

With their first two albums, Kill 'Em All and Ride The Lightning reaching underground success, their third effort, Master of Puppets has since become one of the most important heavy metal albums ever, as it became the first thrash metal album to be certified platinum. The title track has since become the band's most played song live. ...read more.
25 It's Like Metal

Metal is an extreme subgenre of rock music so there are similarities between metal and some other rock subgenres.

But there are also many differences and I wouldn't say that rock (in narrow sense) is like metal.
