Top Ten Reasons Why School Is Unnecessary

To the person who claimed we need school to read and write: I went to Preschool when I was four years old. We did not learn to do either of those things in Preschool, and if we did in Kindergarten then I don't remember. I taught myself. Literally. By the time I was four years old, I was reading books TO my parents rather than having them read to me, I could recognize short words individually, I knew every single letter of the alphabet and what sounds they made, and I knew how to write. Not very well, but I knew how to write. I was bored when we were learning to read and write because I already knew all of that stuff. If any of you truly believe you need school to be successful, then so be it, I can and will respect your opinion; I don't think that school is completely unnecessary either. However, children are perfectly capable of learning these things themselves, and we do not need to be taught by school systems, that are mostly outdated and failing anyway. If we can learn an entire LANGUAGE, for some of us more than one, when we are toddlers, then we can learn how to read, write, *gasp* solve math problems, and so much more. The only thing that happens when children turn a certain age, usually five years old, is that we stop believing that they can learn themselves.

Who decided to have children wake up at 6:00? Let us wake up at 9:00 and go to school at 10:00. Don't even get me started on the long ass school hours.

Seriously, what kid would go to bed late because of homework and wake up too early?

There are people with low self esteem that get made fun of. So really, Insomniac, if people with low self esteem meet people to make friends, there is little to no probability into making friends.

I want to make friends, but for me it's difficult considering there are bad people in the world and possibly at school and I might be friends with someone who was kind of using me :(. I prefer to be friends with animals and introverted girls like me!

Especially if you're an introvert and have difficulties making friends... I'm an introvert, and I have difficulties making friends.

So yeah, school could be pretty dangerous in some ways

Yet @TheInsomniac tolerates this! Blaming on the poor president instead of other kids who make the decision to do this! What did the president ever do? If anything the president is trying to protect us!

School shootings, crazy students/teachers, dumb safety procedures, fires, I could go on forever.

Yeah. Some teachers are like that. Like it's horrible. I just can't get along with everything cause that's what school is about working kids into salves on purpose. That's why they let all these bad things happen. And a lot of people support them. I mean, like WHAT? You love the others more then me? WHAT? One time my class was playing during Gym time. And they did not allow me to play I was sad so I sat out. People bully me. It's just so boring. Then some kids were. Beating me up so I had to defend myself. Bu when I did that I got in trouble. Bu when he does that they don't get in trouble. He's really mean. And somebody should please read this. please I need support.

I read on this list about teachers being tired, well actually in my old school one teacher was a pedo.

You spend more time in school than at your own home. About 8 hours in school every monday through friday for 9 months every year until the 12th grade with a short azz three month summer break.

I agree with this list. We spended like 8 hours and we STLL doing homework. We don't even get time to break.

I totally agree. Schools expect students to eat frozen-microwaved food (most) that is made of just sugar. "Healthy! Healthy! Healthy! " they say. Well, if it's healthy, why does it cause obesity and contain a lot of fat, sugar, and salt? The school might as well just serve a pile of sugar, a tablespoon of salt, some water, and throw it in the foam trays?! Delicious isn't it? Healthy isn't it? that's what school lunch is, kids! All those things mixed and the lunch ladies cast some "spell" to make it look like an okay-looking burger or too-red tomato soup.

Breakfast is literally ALL SUGAR!

Yeah the school has bad airs and some people still have corona so I have to wear a mask or hide out in the bathroom for quite a while and no one looks for me.

At my school we had head lice! In kindergarten everyone who sat next to me had it. A kid was gone for a moth and had to get his head shaved. I am surprised that we did not get it in my TK class.

KingSlayer93316 gym class is one of the most useful classes they teach you ways to do sports and sports make you fit and if your not fit then you become obese and nobody wants to marry you then you die from obesity.

It depends what you want to be when you grow up.
Examples:
Biologist means be good at science
Geologist means be good at Social Studies

I wont need atomic number of neon.I also do not need to know what ligaments in my knee if there are any.

They share too much boring stuff like Algebra and Calculus but Algebra is Needed but not Calculus. The School stands for Six/Seven Cruel Hours Of Our Lives and homework stands for Half of my energy wasted on random knowledge and the last Math stands for Mental Abuse To Human.

I could do something better than sit in a classroom all day half asleep

School provides stress in these ways

1) School gives too much homework. It lessens our leisure time. We should have some freedom while
education. School homework ruins freedom.

2) In school, sometimes it has a violence and bullies.

I missed most of 5th grade because of my horrible anxiety.

'You can't eat in class' DO THEY WANT US TO STARVE? 'You can't go to the toilet in class' DO THEY WANT US THE PISS OUR PANTS AND GET BULLIED? 'No fidgeting or you get detention' MOST OF US NEED TO FIDGET OR GET OFF TASK TO CONCENTRATE IN THIS BORING SCHOOL! 'Kids, you have to do this equation and blah blah blah...' WHAT TEACHERS DON'T REALISE IS THEY HAVE TO MAKE SCHOOL FUN IF THEY WANT KIDS TO LEARN

Teachers who constantly gets the good kids in trouble. In school, I have always been a good, kid, but some teachers constantly treat me like I'm the bad kid!

Why Even bother going to school if you're just gonna forget it? I will have better luck living off the land than having a real job and paying bill's and taxes. (also at least 50% of what we learn we don't use in real life)

Exactly. You know my school doesn't allow regular book bags. we have to buy string bags and we have to do it once a month cause the bags break. I just hold all my stuff now, Smh

I'm surprised people are giving such meaningless reasons? The main reason why school is terrible is because nothing relevant is being taught. I don't need to know about inverse variation, chemistry, how to say "I wanna go to the beach" in Spanish, or what an appositive is.
Adults forget it almost instantly after they finish school, it's a god d-mn waste of time and it gives me a headache that people think school is actually helping students. It's not.

Highschool should be more like college, but freshman year, students should immediately decide on a career as well as back up jobs and study accordingly, instead of students who want to be, say an artist, but they are being forced to learn things that have nothing to do with such. How about how to own your own business? To be your own boss? How to do taxes? And more importantly learn skills essential to your career BEFORE college so you have even MORE experience.

I mean they stopped calling cooking classes "Home Economics" when I was around 11/12 years old.
