FFLA Double Feature: Black Friday Lists

NuMetalManiak Well today is the day, Black Friday, an American tradition of people going crazy over "deals" that you can probably get cheaper elsewhere. Today we will look at two lists.

Top Ten Reasons Why Shopping On Black Friday Isn't Worth It
Top Ten Things to Do On Black Friday Instead of Shop

So let's start with the first one.

1. You Could Get Injured: Well you could get injured just about anywhere too.
2. The Mobs: I stay fully away from any of these mobs. Anywhere there's a lot of people it's highly recommended to stay far away.
3. The Long Lines: Are a product of the mobs, technically. They are there during the midnight hours for hours waiting for the place to open, then they rush right in.
4. You Have to Be a Fast Runner: Or you can just stay home, really and truly it is the more viable thing to do.
5. The Parking Lots: Hmm, never thought about this till now. Good luck finding a spot anywhere these days.
6. The Deals Aren't Necessarily the Best: Said this right at the start of this analysis.
7. Workers Lose Their Thanksgiving: Not sure what this means. Does this mean that they only get Thanksgiving off? Also the overall amount of workers
8. It Makes People Go Nuts: Over stuff that really doesn't matter I might add.
9. Too Much Hype: Why oh why would there be hype for this? Oh right, promises of sales you can get elsewhere. What a dumb holiday.
10. Overspending: SAVE YOUR MONEY DON'T BE STUPID.
11. You Waste Money On Things You Probably Aren't Going To Use: This is the kind of mentality my mother has. Although it pertains more to Christmas gifts my family gives her, the chances of her using a gift are very slim. She doesn't shop for Black Friday, thankfully, but this point must be made.
12. You Could Die: Apparently dying during a Black Friday shopping spree has turned into a statistic. Which is already embarrassing for a holiday like this.
13. You Get Up Early: Or you can choose not to, after all, most people are off that day.
14. It's Too Expensive: Hah, I've been saying this.

Now for the next list!

1. Volunteer: I appreciate the sentiment, but even when volunteering it depends on the place which means that the possibility of running into rabid Black Friday shoppers isn't out of a question.
2. Practice your Hobby: And I love my hobbies.
3. Go Camping/Off the Grid: Neat idea, get away from everything. Although the best thing to do is to just stay away from people in general.
4. Play Video Games: Guess what I do whenever I can.
5. Start or Finish a Good Book: Preferably alone and in silence I'd add.
6. Learn Something New: Well what is new these days? I'm sure there are always new things, but some of our old stuff is still holding up.
7. Go for a Hike: Basically like camping except more uphill.
8. Make a Fire Box: Never heard of this until now. But yeah, a safe box you always have in case something bad happens is perhaps a major necessity.
9. Call your Family: Hopefully they aren't caught in the Black Friday crowds.
10. Look On YouTube for Black Friday Videos: How about other videos instead?
11. Chores: Well it's better than dying in a Black Friday riot!
12. Sleep: Knowing you're off on Black Friday is a wonderful feeling and a great time to sleep.
13. Play with your Kids, Pets, Neighbors...: Preferably at home and away from fools.
14. Watch Football: Often I forget it's Football season here in the states around this time.
15. Set up the Christmas tree: Yep, the actual best time to do it too. The tree setting up is a good thing to do when you can but preferably right as soon as December starts.
16. Stay Inside and Have a Quiet Evening at Home: Well that's the gist of the majority of these items.
17. Go to a Store and Watch People Get In Fights: Kind of a bad thing in all honesty. You're watching fights, and also technically window shopping since you're not buying anything. It's a deadweight thing to do.
18. Listen to Music: Do this any time.
19. Eat Leftovers: Given that it's after Thanksgiving and there's no way to finish all the food, this is a viable thing to do.
20. Write Short Stories: Or draw art, or fanfiction, or whatever.
21. Eat Chinese Food: Did you have a Chinese Thanksgiving?
22. Have Sex: Only if you are willing to go the long term with some people.
23. Make Christmas Cookies: While I'm okay with Christmas traditions starting right at the mark of December, this one is a little too early.
24. Watch Christmas Movies: Well they are always on air at times, so yeah sure.
25. Find A Job: Only if you're unemployed really. Of course, GOOD LUCK LANDING ONE IN THIS DAY AND AGE.
26. Get Ready for Christmas: That's the gist of at least three of these recent items.
27. Masturbate: I have a feeling someone adds this item to a lot of lists just because.
28. Talk to a Friend or Family Member: Same thing as Call Your Family.
29. Watch Youtube: And here we have the more broad term for #10.

Well, these lists aren't too bad, except a few items in the second list, but hey, stay away from idiots on this day if you can.
