1 The "dumb" character(s)

Everything about this list is true and I even added in a couple of more things to the list.

2 Toilet humour

At least slapstick and physical comedy is basic immature humor that everyone can chuckle at, but toilet humor, I don't think, is pleasant for anyone to watch. It's a poor attempt to appeal to kids, in my opinion.

Hence shows like Sanjay and Craig.

This one just gets old.

3 The adults try to stop the kids.

4 Younger siblings just annoy the heck out of the older.

It happens in almost every show.

5 One of the kids is the serious one, usually the older.

6 Money references

8 Hidden adult jokes

9 The dumb dad and the mom who's too good for him
