Rise Against Quotescratermaker123 Possibly the most quotable band of all time, Rise Against's lyrics are what make them the band they are. Every song is filled to the brim with genius quotes begging to be repeated again and again. It's a daunting question, it's one that must be answered; What are Rise Against's best lyrical moments?
The Top Ten
This song the lyrics are off, speaks so much to me. Whenever I feel down I remember, that there are so many bad times in a life. But in the end it all comes down to the way you survive. Because it shows you, what you can do. That you are not weak. That nobody is weak. Because we all have been through our personal hell or will have to face it. Still: We can survive, because we are not alone. We can survive. We will survive and this is clearly what makes us, who we are. So if you are feeling down, don't give up. You can do this!
This is the quote that I always keep in mind.
This Quote shows that we have all had sufferings and hardships that differ from each others, But our difference with other members of our society is how we handle or face these challenges, wether we just leave them be or take action.
This song has helped me so much through these past few years. Whenever I feel like crap and that nothing goes my way, I listen to this song. I live by these lyrics each and every day of my life, and now I have it tattooed on my back and it will stick with me for the rest of my life.
Just think of the first person you fell in love with that broke your heart - cratermaker123
Just reading this lyric gives me chills, not to mention singing it out loud! Though RA has so many great lyrics it is hardly fair to say that this is the best one.
This lyric...That person that saved you from yourself - they weren't perfect but they picked up the pieces of you when you had nothing left to give and helped out you back together.
Hits home; very relatable. Anyone that's had to say goodbye to someone they truly loved would understand.
The lyrics say I’m not the answer for the questions that you still have but yeah powerful words
I think the "girl" is mother nature trying to save "him" which is the human race.
I really love that part of the song
Awesome and satisfying
Think of how much this relates to modern day issues with war. We are still fighting in Iran and Iraq after 10 years (I am maybe wrong, not that updated on current events). All the horrible things people are put through in war, yet our country praised and awards the deed of killing another person. We are all people, no one should forget that. We can only win the human race together, and Rise Against hits these opinions of mine in the bulls-eye.
Sadly one of the most misunderstood songs ever
Everyone dreams of living in the U.S., but when we are out to war we kill innocent human beings that don't deserve to be threatened.
It is touching coming from a military family
Would you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate, or would you rather be the Architect of what we might create?
Architects this is such a good song that I just wanted to post that but the stupid comment quality thing made me keep typing
Thinking about getting this phrase as a tattoo. I'm kind of having a hard time figuring out wheter it should be placed on my ribs (right side) or neck.
Paper Wings might lyrically be in the top 5 lists of best songs ever.
Why is there No more older songs? Rumors Of My Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated has 5 or 6 great quotes in itself, so does Black Masks and Gasoline. This list just gives the more mainstream songs, even though The Good Left Undone has beene favorite song for years. Great list if you barely know Rise Against. Where is Swing Life Away and Everchanging?
One of the awesomestisim song
I love this! I have always preferred the lead up to a chorus.
Drones... one of my all time favourites... THis song hits me deep
Some people feel so bad from a broken heart, and when they get up, they comeback more strong. Some enter in depression, others kill themselves, and those who raise their faces and try again to find love aren't weak or coward, they're very strong. I can say this by myself... Had 9 heartbreaks in my whole 15 years of life... Had an horrible depression, and this quote speaks to me. I just continued, no matter how difficult it was, or even would be. Now I have find myself the person that I love and loves me, even that she's very far on another city, we continue our romance, no matter how bad things are.
Drones is, by far, my favorite. Perfect example of mindless drones that most Americans have become!
Never heard a more poetic way of saying that you've got a bad heartache
Addresses one of the biggest problems of our time - missing acceptance and harassment.
It just hits so hard, One of my best friends was Bi, and committed suicide from all the bullying.
This is the saddest and one of the most important things. I'm so thankful for Rise Against
Rise Against gives a voice to the voiceless.
I love this quote and this song. It speaks to the ideological generational divide of recent years, of elders' hope turned to bitterness while the young keep fighting.
Definitely the best part.
But here in this moment, like the eye of a storm, it all came clear to me...
My favorite pit song. :D
Beautiful quote, speaks so much volume with so little words. I'm definitely using this for my senior quote next year in high school.
These lyrics speak a sad truth that most people don't realize. If you only go through the motions and never go out do new things and explore. Your not really alive your mindlessly going through life.
Strong words, telling the truth, sadly too many people don't want to see. You need to do something, to be alive. It will never be enough just to breathe and work like a machine.
Strong piercing words to those who think that they're living and doing the best things but deeply they're living a lie wasting their lifes
"You had it backwards! Don't you know it's better to live on your feet, than to die on your knees." Gotta love those Catch 22 quotes.
Its correct. The line "Don't you know it's better to live on your feet, than to die on your knees" comes right after the other line meaning when compared to the first line that if you have the choice not to do it at all don't do it.
This personally is my favourite quote
That part is so cynical, it makes me cry.
Super inspiring, something to live by and strive to reach.
My favorites lyrics of all their songs, I love so much the hope we can see in these sentence.
I absolutely love this song, but especially this quote.
It's my favourite song of rise against. I love the lyrics and the music, but it makes me sad what happend with the people in september...
I think this is the one of the most deepest quotes in a rise against song so far. It speaks to me a lot on how I should stand up for what I believe in and not to be stopped no matter who is in front of me. This is a very moving quote, and also it's from an underrated song "Anywhere But Here. "
In my opinion the very best rise against quote. Such a deep sense in so few words is unbelieveable. Anywhere But Here has generally very good lyrics but this is epic.
This has to be my favorite lyrics from any of their songs. There is such truth in them.
I think that this quote is amazing. It ties in with reality and that if you really want a memory with someone, then go through many different experiences and emotions with them.
One of my favorite songs it's beautiful
So powerful, it's underrated
One of my fave lyric's.
Just one of Rise Against's many quotes that only apply to a certain demographic, yet effectively delivers the message to everyone.
I think, although it is a bit cheesey, this quote pretty much shows the reality of war: Killing innocent people who want nothing more than peace.
Love this song so much
One of my favorite saddest quotes
Amazing quote. It's really short and some will think it is meanless, but many times it has meant a lot for me.
So very true; hold on to those who who refuse to let you quit, those who show you that life continues on but it's better off with you in it.
Underrated quote from an extremely underrated song
Probably my favourite song from them. A song that definitely didn't get the recognition it deserves!
