Tool is, for me, the rush of the 90s. They have no boundries. All of tool's songs take you on a journey and have amazing composer. Tool also remains one of the darkest bands of all time

KoRn makes this list because they're more creative than most nu metal bands. Truth be told koRn really isn't nu metal except for there down tuned gituar and base style.
