Their first album with mikael akerfeld on vocals was a genuine doom metal and very good, their second album got less "raw" and heavy, but still was interesting, although it marked where katatonia started getting more pipular with 13 year olds and "alternative metal" fanboys.
First 4 albums were just magnificient. With newer albums they lost something, but its still not ad bad ad with Metallica or catatonia

They had a few excellent, very touching songs & they produced handmade German poprock at a very young age, now they're trying to be L.A. gangster-hipsters making awful "house music" (i'm scared of calling it house music, it's not house nor is it music lol) or something I can't quite put my finger on. I just know that their attitude & so-called-music is terrible
96 Tokyo Police Club
