They've had great slower songs from Lighting to Justice, so it isn't exactly a surprise that the Black Album was gonna be great. I love "Hero of the Day", "Mama Said", "The Unforgiven II" and "Fuel", but I do admit that Metallica is at their best when it comes to Thrash Metal.

They were also a bit glammy- mind you, the best glam I have ever heard with songs like Turbo Lover and Locked In. Both are wonderful songs however.
