Shadows (Vocals), Synyster Gates (Lead Guitar), Zacky Vengeance (Rhythm Guitar), Johnny Christ (Bass Guitar), and The Rev (Drums). more.

After seeing this I'm still trying to figure out what genre this band really plays. so far I've seen their guitar riffs aren't metal (I don't know if its hard rock or not). but I'm sure that their solos are metal solos. Because there solos are quite heavy. Especially there solos have some metal licks. For example check the last licks of Afterlife. It's very fast. And I can tell it's a metal solo. I mean, I haven't seen any hard rock solo's lick as fast as this. Only metal solos licks are fast as these. - zxm

By the way, the are a metal band. Though they are not an extreme metal band and their music isn't very heavy but they could be called a metal band. M. Shadows vocal is metal, Synyster Gates guitar solos are also metal solos, well Rev's drumming beats and Zacky Vengeance's guitar riffs are somewhere between hard rock and heavy metal. that's why some call them non-metal band. But they are a heavy metal band. - zxm

Why they are here? they ARE a heavy metal band.Just listen their power chords riffs.Synyster Gates solos and Zacky Vengeance's riffs are heavy metal riffs. - zxm

It's foolish to think that Motörhead isn't metal. Even though Lemmy feels like he's more part of the Punk community, that doesn't make them not metal. It really doesn't take much to realize that they are heavy metal/speed metal. Just listen to them

@visitor - I listen to Motörhead because I like them but they aren't metal. Lemmy knows what metal is - metal is classically inspired or at least there are some classical music elements. But Motörhead are not classically inspired.

And because Lemmy knows what metal is, he also knows who invented it - Deep Purple.
