It's foolish to think that Motörhead isn't metal. Even though Lemmy feels like he's more part of the Punk community, that doesn't make them not metal. It really doesn't take much to realize that they are heavy metal/speed metal. Just listen to them
@visitor - I listen to Motörhead because I like them but they aren't metal. Lemmy knows what metal is - metal is classically inspired or at least there are some classical music elements. But Motörhead are not classically inspired.
And because Lemmy knows what metal is, he also knows who invented it - Deep Purple.
