I love DBS but if there was't a band named Linkin Park. my favorite band was DBS for sure
Twenty One Pilots music has power to it! Each and every song speaks words of wisdom! No matter who you are you can relate closely to one of their songs. The style in which they use makes you really get into the music and makes you think about what the lyrics mean and bring happiness to everyone.
Wow, this is disappointing. Twenty-One Pilots at 213. Other bands might have good music, but Twenty-One Pilots is so unique and amazing that it deserves the number one spot. This band has made amazing song after amazing song for a few years, and they are only at 213?! Maybe not everyone enjoys their music, but this band should still be much higher. Instead of the top 215, put them in the top 5.
Why isn't my favorite band higher!? Their music is easy for me to relate to and it makes me feel happy. But, as it says in Message Man, "These lyrics aren't for everyone." Maybe their music and lyrics is hard to understand for some, but I know that isn't the case for me.
Twenty one pilots is the best band ever. They have strong lyrics awesome voices, and some of the best songs. My personal favorite is Fairly LocalV 20 Comments
Come on Danzig fans I know you're out there. We are below Savage Garden. Are boy needs some love. - Blackdragonfish
I really dig the song "Mother". I hear it on the radio a lot and I always like the sound of this song.
Danzig should be a lot higher than 219V 2 Comments
Ascendency is the best metal album I've ever heard. need to be up there in the top 25 atleast. Matt and Corey are two of the 20 best guitarists alive today in my opinion. Paolo plays bass like nothing I've ever heard, and Travis is just hands down the best metal drummer - mike2fristick
I was starting to think that Trivium wasn't on here. Avenged Sevenfold sucks and comparing them to Trivium is like asking if a lion can kill a cat. - Trivium
This is so badwhy trivium in this list they should be in top 20, they have the best metal songs ever they are nu-Metallica.. A7X are nothing they are a normal band but trivium a perfect metal band I've never seen in my hole life
Trivium get such a bad rap, and I don't understand why... these guys are great!V 3 Comments
One of the greatest pop-rock bands of all time. Rosanna and hold the line are classic rock songs!
30-years this year, since Hold the Line, and still just getting better and better
So underrated! Toto was really my introduction to thinking a band was cool. For that, I will always be thankful.
Not my favorite but it deserves WAY more than this. - KingofSnails42V 6 Comments
What can I say... They have arguably one of the greatest songwriters in existence, one whom I personally would put next to the likes of Edgar Allan Poe and William Shakespeare (Sing what you can't say, forget what you can't play/hasten to drown into beautiful eyes/walk within my poetry, this dying music/my loveletter to nobody; Beneath the candlebed/Two saddened angles, in heaven, in death... One light for each undeserved tear... Beneath the candlebed/Two souls with everything yet to be said). Their guitarist, unlike most others in traditional rock bands you see all over the place right now, actually knows how to play his instrument, and despite being more of a melodic/rhythm guitarist who plays alongside keyboards he sure knows how to shred when he wants to! The keyboardist himself (who is also the main songwriter) plays pretty much everything in concert - the piano, the keyboards, and the orchestra, and despite being more of a metal band, because of those aspects, they've created ...more
I absolutely refuse to believe Nightwish is not #1. Every in the band is possibly the most talented person that plays the instruments (For example, Emppu on the guitars and Tuomas on the keyboards) and the three singers they have had are all amazing in their own ways. Tarja was trained in opera, Anette was the classic metal singer, and Floor's voice fits with Nightwish's music so well it's astonishing. The heavy metal combined with the orchestra truly makes for a beautiful sound. The lyrics are so deep half of them I can't understand, and I write songs exactly like Tuomas's. Nightwish is the most talented band in the world, there's no doubt about that. Their song The Poet and the Pendulum was the one that got me hooked. I heard it when I was just six years old and it blew me away. I've been a true and dedicated fan ever since. I don't speak Finnish, but I love Nightwish so much I've learned how to sing those songs. I know every lyric to every song, and I never get tired of listening ...more
I am personally offended Nightwish is not the first on this list. How is this possible? Nightwish has been the epitome of amazing symphonic metal for over 20 years. Not only are the lyrics so deep it takes me years to understand them, the music sounds otherworldly. Nightwish combines the classical sound of an orchestra with the most melodic metal I've ever heard. The keyboards and piano are complicated yet beautiful at the same time, the guitar riffs cannot be compared to anything else ever done, the singing mixes with the music perfectly, and the lyrics are one of a kind. Why isn't Nightwish first? Nightwish has been my favorite band for literally half my life. Why don't people give this amazing band the credit that they absolutely deserve?
Songwriting, music, vocals, live performences...at best there can be!V 9 Comments
The vocals take some time to get used to but you get to realize that it fits the type of music.
The band is great and I recommend because they are quite talented and they are underrated.
They tell a story with their music, literally. The lead singer writes comics so you can read his books and then understand or almost predict what is coming next.

Why Coheed and Cambria isn't in the top 50.
I think that coheed really makes it to top 50 at least. Know why? Because they have a natural talent
and then they have a great song.
"Welcome Home" is one of the greatest song that I've heard.
One of the most greatest bands of all time.
Hell of nice guys.
Amazing bass lines and guitar riffs.
Perfect vocals and drum beats.
I don't understand why they're not on here.
Best bandV 1 Comment
For sure in the top 3 bands post 2000. Their songs such as Blurry, Control, Psycho, Never Change, Basement, just to name a few, are great. Come Clean, Famous, and Life on Display are all good albums (especially Cone Clean). Unfortunately for us fans, Wes Scantlin has been going a little wack lately, but none the less while it lasted it was pretty great. Hopefully Wes gets his self together and they can lay down some more tracks!
This band isn't very good at all
I like one song very much
Best band out there... too low in this list.. asking Alexandria is above them what the hell
Lacuna coil are amazing! They have a mix of male and female voices with some amazing drums and guitar! There song's are very catchy and the music videos are so cool
This band is fantastic, and I have no idea why they aren't high up on the list. Great sound, great band, great everything.V 1 Comment
First three albums are undying classics. NOT a one hit wonder - music of epic emotional sweep and power. Like the other poster said, songs that always stir and stay in your heart. Thanks Stuart.
Still love Big Country ; music that never gets old and is untainted by irony or cynicism. Power in the best sense.
Stuart Adamson is the U.K. S response to jimi Hendrix said John Peel. He is just simply amazing. This is for the best bands not the most popular and Big Country certainly is the best. With albums the crossing, steeltown and the seer they revolutionized, at least, the way I listen to and like Rock music. Bassist Tony Butler and Mark Brezicki are just as good, and the best in my opinion. And bruce is all around cool. This band may never be in the top 100 but they will always number one in my and many others hearts.
Best Scottish bands ( for me ) : #3 Simple Minds, #2 Mogwai, #1 Big Country.V 2 Comments
The Cat's Cradle is where this amazing band got their name rom and I love them so much! 227 is so not them lewl whatever their final placing is, remember that you guys will always be top10 in my heart ^^V 1 Comment
Seeing The Smiths this far down doesn't surprise me at all. One of the best bands in the history of music indeed, they have influenced every single act that has come out of the British rock since 1987, but they wouldn't be The Smiths if they achieved mainstream success. The Smiths stand for the outcasts, for the outsiders, for the alternative. Morrissey's lyrics entwined with Johnny Marr's melodic guitar playing gives us the most prominent songrwiting partnership since Lennon/McCartney. However, honey is not made for the lamb's snout. Let them stick to Linkin Park and Chester Bennington,30 seconds to mars and Avenged Sevenfold while we listen to the real thing.
Absolute travesty to see the genius of The Smiths so far down on this list. Daring and never seen before lyricism, one of the best guitarists to ever exist and hugely underrated bass and drums from Rourke and Joyce. This band has inspired the likes of the Oasis and Radiohead for crying out loud people!
No other band had more influence on 90s alternative singer-songwriters as Morrissey and The Smiths. Without The Smiths, "emo" would have never existed. Morrissey made it OK to say exactly how you felt about being awkward, nerdy, geeky and misunderstood. Johnny Marr's famous guitar stutter effect on "How Soon Is Now? " would forever change the sound of alternative rock guitar forever and spawn thousands of copycats.
genius.V 13 Comments
How are they not higher? There sounds relate to young and old and as they made albums they sold more and more records and tyson riitter is one of the best front mans around!
They sing really awesome some of their sons like gives you hell and it ends tonight are amazing
? I used to listen to these guys all the time they MUST be higher.V 3 Comments
Yes Whitesnake was around before 87's big hit Still of the Night and Here I Go Again was a hit in 82 for them in
Europe! It America a while to catch on to them! They band was a hard rocking bluesy band not the glam band with
Screaming guitar that came later. Coverdale voice was original deep and bluesy until he started the screaming.
The live album Live in the Heart of the City is a classic and start here if you never heard earlier Whitesnake. The
Last few albums have been awesome also more like early whitesnake but of course keeping their harder sound.
Jon Lord and Ian Paice from Deep Purple were in the earlier version! Too bad Coverdale has lost his original voice.
I AMAZED SEEING THIS LIST. AFTER THE JUDGMENT DAY, HERE I GO AGAIN, IS THIS LOVE, THE DEEPER THE LOVE WHY THEY ARE HERE? THEY SHOULD BE IN TOP TEN. - RIFATHUSSAIN
Dude! Just listen to "Looking For Love", and see how the David Coverdale/John Sykes duo switches from the bluesy, lovestruck, heart wrenching vocals to an all out, no holds barred wicked onslaught of guitar riffs and angry screeching----- epic stuff! This song characterizes my music taste in one neat little package.

This band really is great!
This is one of the greatest bands ever.

This is rob zombie you nimrods. How did you guys miss this one.
How could it be that a band that used to have Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page in the guitars is so low listed? Have you ever hear them? They rock!
This band is full of musical genius! How are they not higher in the list? Besides, rolling stone magazine had them in their 100 greatest artists of all time
They were the first super group of their time, before cream and hendrix
3 of the 5 best guitarists ever!V 4 Comments
