8 Sumon (Aurthohin) Saidus Salehin Khaled (Sumon), is a bass player, singer, songwriter, composer, music producer from Bangladesh and the vocalist and bassist for the rock band Aurthohin. He is known as "Bassbaba" (Father of Bass) among his fans and audiences for his bass guitar playing.

@bluefuse, Sumon isn't a solo artist. I won't say he is better than les clay pool. But there are some things which sumon could do in special. Like, he could play bass guitar with his teeth. Yes, there are very few bassists who could do that. And Sumon is one of them. You said, you could hear Les Claypool's basslines. Well, you also could listen Sumon's basslines. Tapping, slapping, finger-picking, plectrum uses, teeth-grinding etc etc.
And for his band, aurthohin isn't a good band, its just an opinion. There are two things to notice. 1. They don't sing in English. And most people don't listen non-english songs. 2. They are from a very poor country. That's why they couldn't earn international popularity. For these reasons most people don't know them. But just because people don't know them doesn't mean his band or he can't be good. If I say who's better Sumon or mike dirnt. Most will choose mike dirnt because green day is famous. But objectively Sumon is better. Plus this band has a ...more

@bluefuse, I am not arguing you. And please don't take it offensively. But Ibrahim Ahmed Kamal is a lot better guitarist than Billie Joe Armstrong. I mean Billie Joe Armstrong is mostly a rhythm guitarist. While Kamal, Shishir or Piklu are lead guitarist. Try these songs solo - Guti (the Finale), Cancer, Aushampto, Shaat Din, Abar (this was played by a drummer). I am not saying Aurthohin is better than Green Day. Obviously Green Day is better. Even though guitar sounds/tone is a subjective thing, but who is more talented at it is an objective thing. I mean look at this list "Greatest Rock Guitarists of All Time". Here Billie Joe Armstrong is ahead of Yngwie Malmsteen. But would you say Billie is better than Yngwie Malmsteen? In someone's opinion it may be. I don't mind. But Yngwie Malmsteen knows more of a guitar than Billie.
