The Contenders
11 How Much Love - Vixen
12 Dude (Looks Like a Lady) - Aerosmith
13 Aqualung - Jethro Tull

This is way better than Run to the Hills.

15 Sails of Charon - Scorpions

The best guitar intro riff from Uli and also the solo is in the intro! Awesome.

16 Mistreated - Deep Purple

Just find on YouTube the live version from California 1974, to fully enjoy this guitar intro - heavy and jaw-dropping.

17 Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin
18 Highway to Hell - AC/DC

Angus Young does a good job playing the beginning piece for Highway To Hell. That is why it is #9.

19 Hells Bells - AC/DC
20 (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction - Rolling Stones

How this wasn't on the list?

21 Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
22 Marquee Moon - Television

How come I never see Television mentioned on this site? Their debut album is one of the best albums to be released in the entire 70s, and this song is the absolute peak of their (sadly, shorter than they deserved) career. If you're a rock fan, I highly recommend you check these guys out. They were a HUGE influence on the alternative and indie movements of the 80s, as well as guitarists lik John Frusciante.

The dual guitar interplay in the intro is fantastic.

23 Thunderstruck - AC/DC
24 Cosmic Egg - Wolfmother

This riff is so catchy.

25 Every Breath You Take - The Police
