Best RPG Games Since 2000Since the start of the century, there have been many RPG games, which are the best? Well, let's see.
The Top Ten
Yes. Yes it does get better. What can be said? The biggest criticism of the near perfect Pokemon Black was the lack of old pokemon until the game is beaten. Black 2 fixed that. This game brought you back to a re designed Unova, letting get Riolus off the bat! This game also had so much more side missions which made this probably the greatest pokemon game ever.

There's a reason why this was the 2003 Game of the year. It's utterly outstanding. KOTOR essentially puts the Jedi Outcast series to shame. Pokemon is so successful because of the customization aspect. Lucas Arts added that to their game, and had one of the greatest games ever. A fully customizable character, you get to choose your own lightsabers and colors, and choose between the dark side and the light side, and one plot twist that'll make you crap yourself. Does it get any better? Well... - MRJ12744
The Fellowship of the Ring for GBA was the first RPG base on the legendary film series, and was an utter failure. TTA came out though and kicked undeniable butt. You play as a character following the fellowship through middle earth on an epic-2 disc set- adventure. You pick your own party members and can choose from a variety of weapons and skill sets. This really is even better that The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King game because, it let's you do whatever you want, well almost. - MRJ12744
Originally intended to be the final installment of the series, GSC ended up helping the series survive. You were able to travel from Johto back to kanto, and even send your pokemon from Red, Blue, & Yellow to your Gen 2 game. Unlike Gen 1, these pokemon weren't mind numbing-ly simple, and were kind of cool. It took Nintendo 10 years to remake these games and when they did, they hit the jackpot. Gen 2 is one of the best pokemon games ever for it's great design, plot, and all importantly, Pokemon. - MRJ12744
The follow up to the 2003 GOY isn't nearly as good, but is still great. Again, customization is key to this games success. It's able to pay homage to the previous game evnts in multiple places. With new characters, the ability to make party members Jedi, and new worlds, KOTOR 2 was another smash hit, and helped KOTOR solidify itself as one of the best RPG series of all time, let alone the decade. - MRJ12744
In my opinion, the greatest MMORPG of all time. Your character is 100% customizable, and comic fans faint with joy at all the characters present. Not only is it a game for us comic fans, but for anyone who enjoys RPGs and beat em ups. Classic characters like Batman, Joker, Lex Luthor, and Superman are present, along with lesser known characters like Circe, Pied Piper, Arkillo, & The Question just to name a few. (I cannot emphasize that last sentence enough. ) - MRJ12744
The near perfect scoring game, ultimately making it the greatest Pokemon game of all time, and in my opinion, one of the best. So shut up genwunners. Unlike the very simple designs of Generation 1, Generation 5 has complex and awesome looking Pokemon. The Pokemon gain more experience, and by the time you hit the elite 4, your starter should be in the level 80 range. What lacks though is the fact you have to beat the elite 4 twice to be named champion, and pokemon from the first four gens aren't available until after you beat the game. - MRJ12744
This beats out MUA2 just because of its longer story. So many characters, so many comic references, and easy to learn controls. This is the greatest Marvel game ever as it follows multiple story arcs. Unfortunately, Wii players can't get any extra characters, and now, neither can XBOX 360 players since the Hero and Villain DLC packs were taken off the market. DLC maybe one of the worst things to happen to gaming, since if you want to play as Hulk, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Hawkeye, Magneto, or Dr. Doom, you have to buy $60 gold edition. - MRJ12744
Gen3 was new because, there were only intended to be two generations. However, new creative pokemon are present and this game (despite the overwhelming amount of trumpets and tentacools) is one of the best RPGs ever. - MRJ12744
Superstar saga brought Mario back to the world of RPG and was one of the most fun Mario games on the GBA, if not, the most fun. While X Men Legends 2 was even better than X Men Legends and a much better plot, with the choice to play as X-Men like Sunfire, brotherhood members like Juggernaut, and even the Merc with the mouth! - MRJ12744
Skyrim is a great RPG released it 2011. So much to explore and do.
