Top Ten RPGs with the Most Unique Battle Systems

Battle systems are major components of an RPG, but which ones actually make them unique in a way that isn't the whole "select command and watch" variant? Here I try to find the games that have completely unique battle systems, not seen anywhere else.
The Top Ten
1 Resonance of Fate

I have not played this, but I hear that it is perhaps the most unique of battle systems as many people have said. Charging attacks, two types of damage, and Tri-attack system. Honestly, if I ever get to reviewing this game, my brain would explode just explaining this game's battle system. You would think that a battle system called the "tri-Attack battle system" would have originated from tri-Ace, too, oh wait, it is! This game by the way was completely standalone, earning it the top spot on this list for its complexity and that no other system had this kind of thing.

2 The World Ends With You

Again, another game I haven't played yet, but this one is called the Stride Cross Battle System. So this is on the DS it seems, with one character controlled via buttons on the top screen with fighting combos of sorts, and the other on the touch screen, with several "pins" used to use attacks, also to move that character with the stylus. Sounds very complex, and again, another standalone title.

3 Thousand Arms

Yeah, I still remember this game's battle system, even if all the mini-stuff tried to block the memory. A weird twist on turn-based that is actually not similar to Grandia games.

4 Radiant Historia

Another one I heard a lot about but haven't played.

5 Grandia

It tried something innovative at the time.

6 Bravely Default
7 Chrono Cross
8 Xenogears

In a way Xenogears and Chrono Cross have similar systems, but actually they are quite different. Xenogears has TWO systems obviously, but it's the combos that create unique finishers differs it quite a bit. Also because CC never really bothered with that stuff.

9 Valkyrie Profile

Oddly enough this one is turn-based, but with the overall possiblities of comboing multiple attacks. Note that I say turn-based because of how the enemies have a full turn and the characters their full turn.
