Rest In Peace Kobe..

I’m absolutely stunned.
Even several hours after the fact I’m still in disbelief. One of the game’s greatest legends in Kobe Bryant has tragically passed away in a helicopter crash near LA.
This is absolutely devastating. It seems like just a few years ago he was still in the league and now....... gone
Coincidentally enough this is after Lebron James passed him on the all time scoring list the night before.
I’m at a complete loss of words. When I first heard it I was in pure shock. It had happened so abruptly. As with probably everyone else who saw it I was like oh no. No No No no no no no no no no no no. Please say sike right now!
No my friends this was no joke unfortunately... Kobe had died.....

There truly was nobody better on and off the court than Kobe. He was not only one of the most talented players who has ever played in the sport of basketball but he was also an extraordinary inspiration off the court. He was devoted to winning. And his true legacy isn’t just the 5 NBA Championships. NBA MVP and 18 All Star Games... it was more. His “Mamba Mentality” He was an inspirational figure to countless players. He had a deep wisdom of the game and how to win and he wanted To pass it on to the next generation of Players. Nobody can replace this man... he changed the game of basketball forever... just to put this in perspective think about how many kids out there wanted to be like Kobe Bryant
Think about how many kids saw Kobe Bryant and decided to pick up a basketball for the first time. He has given back to this game more than we will ever know. And we are eternally grateful for that. He is one of my favorite players and to see this happen so abruptly out of the blue is truthfully heartbreaking. I don’t think anything in sports has made me quite this devastated. Certainly no celebrity death has hit this hard...

Again this puts things into perspective...
As much as we rant about sports and b*tch when our teams don’t win or get our way on a call. Life itself is and always will be far greater than sports. Even if you aren’t a sports fan just take a moment to hug those closest to you and say that you love them because you never know... you just never know when something like this may happen to a loved one
