Top Ten Saddest Moments from the "Ice Age" Franchise
This scene should be number one. While the Diego's "death" was sad, he survived, so that doesn't count. This scene on the other hand, should take the cake. We get Manny who is the typical jerky/grumpy/distrustful (you know? ) character, but we learn why he is like that during this scene: despite his attempts to defend his wife and child from hunters, they both died while he is left to live without them. Ever since that day, he was afraid to get close to others in fear that history will repeat.
An underrated scene. Shows Manny's tragic past and why he's so aggressive and loner like. This movie packs a punch, unlike the rest of the franchise.
My heart breaks every time I see this scene. I pitied Sid on that only Diego and Pinkie could tell something was up with Manny.
One of the few decent things about the original Ice Age
Just sad sad Sad. The whole ordeal and buildup of Diego becoming friends w/ sid and many and too see a sacrifice like that...then to have him die in such a fashion that (even though it's a kids movie) you think Diego will never come back...thankfully he does though.
It is a happy moment that the accomplished the goal, but when the kid hugs them in a tearful goodbye...it hits home.
I don't think saddest is the correct word
Quite emotional
...only to hear him and make the decision to go back. both moments are sad to me. Rudy is honestly the only 'family buck has in that world, so him leaving the tooth behind just seals the deal on the sadness.
Basically the same situation/ feelings as the incinerator scene in Toy Story 3
I found it more exciting than anything if you ask me
I just don't understand why Manny didn't help her as well
