The Contenders: Page 15
How is this movie #265? Whenever I cry during sad movies (which is very rarely) I generally cry silent tears and I'm still able to watch the movie. However, with this one, I was shaking with anguish and I legitimately had to pause it before I could finish it. There were so many times that this movie really affected me and even now (almost 6 months since I watched it) I am tearing up just thinking about it. To be honest, I only watched this movie because Tom Holland is the new Spiderman but I am so so glad I did. It is a beautiful movie that deserves way more credit.
I've legit never cried in a movie before but literally every time I see this movie I cry multiple times, it is the most emotional film made and it ills me that most people don't even know about it even when it was academy award nominated - u_maddox_bro
This is an amazingly emotional movie. And its real life, which makes it so much more dramatic. You feel as if you are there in the tsunami with them... It is so sad and terrifying, yet so beautiful and touching. How is this not #1...
Number 1 in my book. I couldn't breathe through the tears but it's beautifully executed.V 9 Comments
What man, why's this here? I mean it's an okay movie but this is SO not sad. If you're talking about those choker things that hurt them when they get like, too emotional, well that is not part of the movie. They cut it out.V 1 Comment
The most tear jerking film I have ever watched, even just thinking about it brings a tear to my eye. A bit like hachie with a sad but happy ending and the loyalty a dog who searched the western side of Australia not knowing that his master was dead and when he finally comes back after years of looking for him just lays down at his graveside and passes away and once more he is reunited with the person he chose to be loyal too :(
Not many people will have seen this movie, it is an Australian movie. But it won 3 awards and is probably the saddest Australia movie ever. Everyone I know that has seen this movie has cried twice. There are two points in the film that anyone that watches it might need some tissues at hand.
I don't usually shed a tear in most movies, or, being a guy, admit to it... But this one got the tears flowing!
This is a very sad film, it's unlucky mostly just us Aussies have watched it. - micahisthebestV 5 Comments
One of the only films that makes me cry every time I watch it. This film is a masterpiece.
I could relate to his character
Oh my god, I cry at every Wes Anderson film. They should all be on here, seriously. Especially The Royal Tenenbaums.
See the movie and the music from Ennio Morricone deserves your attention.
The saddest movie ever..
It's about five friends. One of them is a vampire. In the end all of them are gonna die.
Gackt as Sho
HYDE as Kei - Ga-Gackt
That the part when Ralph smashes a car. It made me cry.
This movie is definitely not too sad, but it definitely has its moments! Like when Ralph smashed Vanellope's car because he was told it would protect her (though it was a lie) or when Ralph sacrifices himself to save te arcade by breaking the mentos volcano - Phillip873
Although this was a great movie, when King Candy was telling Ralph about what would (not) happen if Vanellope won the race. I ALMOST EMBARRASED MYSELF AT THAT PART. - TheRobertsFamily3
The part where Ralph smashes Vanellope's car was completely uncessary and cruel, it shouldn't have been put in the movie in the first place. Why must Disney always put in sad moments in their films?
? trolls is the happiest thing in world so why it here. it's funny movie.
I don't think it's the saddest, but definitely top 10! And it certainly needs to be on the list SOMEWHERE! It is a terribly moving and sad movie. Very touching. I bawled like a little school girl. - davidthenurse
Finally I found it! Can;t believe it's number 213. I think it's definitely one of the top 10 saddest, certainly higher than 213! A dying kid?!?! The part with he shoe? Come on! - davidthenurse
I only recently watched this movie, I had never heard of it, but it is by far the saddest film I've ever seen, can't stop thinking about it. Maybe the fact the brilliant little Brad Renfro passed away in real life got to me. He was even better in this than The Client.
I don't cry in movies and I was still crying 1 hour after it was done the ultimate friendship movieV 1 Comment
Saddest Star Wars movie of all time, so many deaths, and so many seriously awful moments, people died in this movie, and Han Solo's death was so awful that each theater blew up.
People were screaming and throwing a crying fit over the movie because of how sad it was, it was horribly painfully sad.
This movie is too low on the list, it needs to be higher, way higher.
Star Wars is back, with sadness.
Never ever in my entire life have I cried in a movie in SO long, Sad movies are rare these days, Inside Out was a good potential, but this one broke every record, and might even match Titanic (surpassing The Green Mile).
4 scenes that are sad, First, there was a massacre in a village in Jakku, Second, Rey's parents got kidnapped (in a flashback sequence), Third, The First Order destroyed planets, one that had as many people as Coruscant, more people than Alderaan or Earth or a combination, and Fourth, Kylo Ren kills Han Solo in the most awful and horrifying way possible, which was the saddest moment in all of Star Wars.
This movie had every potential of sadness a movie could ever have, it might even match Titanic or even surpass it because of how sad it is, I hope you enjoy the movie and cry your balls out until your tears fill the whole room before you drown and die.
Such an unbelievably sad movie, if you haven't seen it, you better see it, it's a real tearjerker, lots of violence everywhere, One scene with people burning and planets getting destroyed, Plus one scene where a new character kills one of our favorite movie characters of all time, Saddest Star Wars movie of all time to be honest and may even tie or surpass Titanic (like on CSM review said).
This was the first movie I ever cried in.V 18 Comments
The ending of this movie has got to be one of the most melancholy in film history. It's so happy yet so sad at the same time. You're really happy that Mia and Sebastian were able to achieve their dreams but so sad that they didn't end up together. That ending montage and the final look they give each other are so well done. - phillysports
I watched this movie and I was crying SO much! It's so sad! Only if she married the main guy! Her life would have been so good! Little women is also very sad. When I first watched La La Land it was happy then sad then happy. The end was the saddest.
It makes you feel really sad and really happy all at the same time
This was such a great movie I was crying the whole time
EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEE THIS MOVIE AT LEAST ONCE. IT WILL DEFINITELY HIT HOME
This is the only movie to make me cry (possibly its because its one of the only good things my home states done in a long time)
P.S.A.I. was one of the most stupid movies I have ever seen. - fireinside96
I think this a enspiring movie that brings you to tears every time you watch it - cheyeanne
