The Top Ten
A life full of criticism, drugs, getting his daughter taken away from him, stomach issues, and of course as it says in his last song "You Know You're Right", pain. - MontyPython
Yep. He was a very serious dude. - Aragorn98
Tom Evans ALMOST lived the good life, until he was sued for the money he didn't have. So he was found hanging from his backyard tree. - MontyPythonV 1 Comment
A beautiful young women who believed her life was imperfect. - MontyPython
Living a life full of ignorance, carelessness, crying, stress, drugs, pregnancy, asthma, and a possible murder/suicide/accident. - MontyPython
Though he IS still alive today, Axl is way too criticized. Sure he has anger issues and emotional problems, BUT IT WAS CAUSED BY ABUSE AS A CHILD! Not to mention, he was the one who tried to keep Guns N' Roses alive! And he did it well! But then people start telling him he's useless and so is Guns N' Roses. This man is disgustingly misunderstood. - MontyPython
What mistake did he make? Walking down a public street in NYC?
The man who was murdered for one mistake. - MontyPython
Which mistake was that? I don't think he seemed very sad, though we all have our moments. A I believe he was quite content especially in his final years - Billyv
A man who was hated by his mother, had a uncle who died, a daughter he has trouble seeing, and was kicked around for trying to make a living of himself. - MontyPython
Writing music while deaf, lost the women he loved, and would even get criticized and booed at times. - MontyPython
A man who always wanted to hide in the shadows and wrote dark and depressing lyrics about his loneliness. Poor guy was found dead by hanging from his ceiling fan. - MontyPython
What an erroneous statement, Ringo's not sad, he is and always has been an exceptionally happy dude. He was smart enough to know that his one and only job was to keep the proper beat and time with the Lennon/McCartney [and later Harrison] compositions, the greatest collection ever in the pop/rock genre. Any of the big name drummers like Moon, Baker, Bonham, or whoever would have tried to make it about themselves, and not the phenomenal music. As Ringo himself says about the requirements to join his All-Starr Band: "You need to have had a hit record. [sotto voice] I have had several"
The founder and musical genius behind Badfinger, and when things went south, his tortured artists soul could not handle it.
He wants to be dead and it really depressed. He committed suicide at 21. Way too young for anyone to go - SirSkeletorThe3rd
One of the best when it comes to getting his sadness down on paper in the form of music. Particularly "Layla" about unrequited love, and even more so "Tears in Heaven" expresses an anguish few of us can comprehend. He literally wrote it instead of committing suicide after the tragic death of his young son.
Abused by his stepmom, made fun of in school, was even molested at age 12 and his father didn't even believe him. I'm not a huge fan of Korn but that is seriously depressing.
I don't like Korn, but this guy's childhood was seriously messed up.
It's hard not to feel his pain with his music, but it is that that makes him unlike any other. Just listen to his music, or watch his videos, and his emotions become more and more chilling and surreal. - PositronWildhawk
Its particularly sad that she is still popular despite being insane, which shows how low the threshold is these days for musical popularity.
It's sad how she went from human to totally monstrous.
I don't need to explain this guy.
Not really a fan, but his music is depressing. Just listen to Holy Wood.
His girlfriend (Tiffany Bresciani) was the final victim of New York's most notorious serial killer Joel Ripkin. She was hooking to support their drug habit. He was standing around with her when Ripkin picked her up. He watched her drive off with him. When she didn't return, he went to the cops to report her missing. The cops didn't care (cause she was a prostitute and he was a junkie) and told him to get lost. Three days later, Ripkin was pulled over by the cops and they found Tiffany's decomposing body in the trunk. His Mother was killed in a car accident the same week. He committed suicide very soon after. - THC13
