Top 10 Saddest Nickelodeon Momentsnelsonerica
The Top Ten
SpongeBob was Nickelodeon's best show of all time, even better than Invader Zim, but after 3 seasons and 1 movie, Steven Hillenburg retired and Nick hired talentless writers who think suicide and bad morals are funny, there is no turning back without him, Thankfully, he's coming back for Season 10, but it won't happen at all this year, or the next year, we'll have to wait just about before 2020, otherwise, it's dead. - nelsonerica
Nickelodeon ruined Spongebob... But Season 9 has some episodes that are heading in the right direction toward having masterpieces again.
I chose this one because the series of sponge bob has the saddest episodes and that I don't like sponge bob almost dieing
WE LOVE YOU SEASONS 1 2 3
Invader Zim was basically one of Nickelodeon's biggest masterpieces of all time, It was a gem of joy for Nickelodeon to air, It had everything you could ask for on Nickelodeon, Action/adventure, comedy, drama, and aliens, Then after 1 year, they cancelled it, they were planning a movie, but then they decided to cancel it, It has drawn MILLIONS of fans and they really wanted Invader Zim to come back, but no plan worked, it's gone and Nickelodeon was the blame. - nelsonerica
I once watched it it was awesome but sadly it canceled
This networks golden years was in the 90s. It's just sad how I can't even watch my childhood network any more because it's utter garbage now. It took a downward spiral starting with the logo. This network used to air the most timeless animated shows of all time like Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, Hey Arnold, Rocko's Modern Life, Pre-Movie SpongeBob, The Wild Thornberrys, The Fairly OddParents (pre-2008), Invader Zim, Danny Phantom, My Life As A Teenage Robot, and of course, Avatar: The Last Airbender. Nickelodeon doesn't have creativity. Nickelodeon isn't a network that doesn't air quality content. Nickelodeon just wants money and they'll put whatever their kids will tolerate on the screen for a half hour. Back in the day, there were three main cartoon channels: Cartoon Network, Toon Disney, and of course, Nickelodeon. I'd prefer the other two, but Nickelodeon had a variety of great, memorable, and timeless Nicktoons that're remembered by animation critics and reviewers. This channel went ...more - poppytarts155
Ever since invader zim ended in 2006, Nickelodeon went downhill I drew the line when nickelodeon changed the logo. Then nickelodeon crossed the line and died when fanboy and chum chum aired in 2009
Nickelodeon was such a good network, it even had a good logo and good bumpers, but then in 2009, they decided to rebrand it, as well as change their logo, now there's nothing good about it anymore. - nelsonerica
In one SpongeBob episode, Mr. Krabs discoveres Plankton's fear of whales, then he sets up a scheme to scare Plankton from stealing the formula, but he scares Plankton so much that Plankton decides to commit suicide the next morning, he was laying out on the road waiting to get run over, He meant it and that was SpongeBob's worst moment of all time, yet SpongeBob told Plankton that it was against his good nature, yet SpongeBob doesn't have any good nature at all, That moment ruined the whole series. - nelsonerica
Seriously nick kids do not need to see sucide!
Nickelodeon's biggest show, SpongeBob SquarePants, has lots a cast member for the first time ever, Ernest Borgnine, born in January 24, 1917, who played the voice of Mermaid Man in the Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy shows in SpongeBob, died in July 8, 2012, causing grief all over the world, He died of a kidney failure, at the age of 95, He's a true legend for Nickelodeon, This is by FAR one of Nickelodeon's saddest moments of all time. - nelsonerica
This is too low, Make it Number One Please, Nothing compares to this.
Nothing on this list can make a comparison to Ernest Borgnine's death, it was Nickelodeon's saddest moment of all time.
sad...V 1 Comment
Avatar: The Last Airbender was one of Nickelodeon's finest shows ever made, it had a large and deep plot filled with action and adventure, yet the characters acted mature rather than whiny babies, but before Season 4, they decided to end it, it was so good and popular that it could've ran longer, but they decided to end it so soon as if it wasn't very popular, Thank goodness there was a spinoff called The Legend of Korra, which got banished because of low ratings. - nelsonerica
The series ended because the story wrapped up. It didn't need to continually grind out seasons, that's exactly what made SpongeBob go downhill.
The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron was a good show, it had a mix of things to keep us entertained, and he was smart, but then Nick decided to end it with Planet Sheen, a show that ruined Sheen's reputation and had nonsense and rude humor, They ruined one of the best shows. - nelsonerica
Like how could something so bad like planet sheen get half the amount of episodes that Jimmy Neutron got. I mean come on, Jimmy neutron was a classic and more than deserves a reboot. It got Nick its only ever oscar nomination
The Fairly OddParents was one of Nick's best shows of all time, but it turned bad in 2009, when Cosmo gave birth to Poof, a fairy baby, well it was still good, all the way til the trilogy movies, Then the show started hitting rock bottom afterwards. - nelsonerica
Pre-Wishlogy movies episodes were pretty neutral. I don't like the episode where Cosmo gave birth to Poof. And also, I'm so glad that stupid show moved to NickToons. Hope it gets cancelled. - DynastiSugarPop
He played a character in Rugrats and Dexter's Lab, It was horrible when she died, but nothing compared to the moment when Ernest Borgnine, from SpongeBob SquarePants as Mermaid Man, died in 2012 because of a kidney failure.
We'll always miss you Chuckie Finster - PeeledBanana
Christine Cavanaugh, the voice of Chuckie Finster in Rugrats, Babe in Babe, and the pig in Dexter’s Laboratory, has died at the age of 51, nobody knows what caused her death, but it was a very sad moment in history, but doesn’t compare to the death of Ernest Borgnine in July 8, 2012, He played Mermaid Man in Nick’s biggest show, SpongeBob SquarePants.
Rugrats was one of Nick's best and most popular shows of all time, then after a long time, before more episodes were being made, they decided to cancel it, Thanks a lot SpongeBob, and they ruined it with All Grown Up, They weren't like what they used to be. - nelsonerica
This is Nickelodeon's third best show so fat - PeeledBanana
SO FAR* - PeeledBanana
Drake and Josh was Nickelodeon's funniest sitcom in terms of jokes and humor, yet it had good acting and morals, but then, one year, they decided to get rid of it and have iCarly take it's place, iCarly was nowhere near as funny, it had bad acting and it had lots of sexual content, Nick was dumb of doing that, Thank god it ended, but They shouldn't have gotten rid of Drake and Josh for iCarly in the first place. - nelsonerica
The only thing good about iCarly was Gibby. Everyone else really sucked.
None of these moments are really that sad. - kcianciulli
I've watch rocko's modern life on 123movies.
House of Anubis was one of Nickelodeon's best modern shows of all time, it had a deep plot as well as mysteries, it was supposed to run 4 or more seasons, but about a year after Season 3, they decided to cancel it, the season 3 finale wasn't even considered the series finale, and they cancelled it for no reason but to let Viacom make money. - nelsonerica
It was boring. - kcianciulli
This is the SADDEST Nickelodeon Moments, not the Worst or Most Annoying moments, This is supposed to be about moments that are sad, not obnoxious, Rabbids Invasion is more annoying than sad. - nelsonerica
Ned's Declassified was, perhaps, one of the best live-action 2000's shows Nickelodeon has ever made, It wasn't your usual sitcom with laugh tracks and gross humor, although Drake and Josh won for being super funny, it was a show without a laugh track, the plots seemed more vivid than in the other sitcoms of that time, ad it taught kids to have fun where ever they go, It was a shame to have Nickelodeon cancel it, They could've made a few more episodes, including a graduation episode, but they didn't they decided to just cancel it before finishing it, and what also sucks is that they didn't even make a spin off. - nelsonerica
The sad thing is that it brain washes children with too much bathroom humor and gross objects, it doesn't do anything good to them.
Even worse than Sanjay and Craig, it does the same thing, but it has no plot.
Amanda Bynes, one of Nickelodeon's biggest stars, from All That and The Amanda Show, took a downward spiral after a twitter meltdown, then she committed crimes and got arrested, she even threw a water pipe at someone's neighbor's house and got arrested for that too, then after that, she went to rehab, it was known that she was mentally ill, at least she's recovering, but that was a truly sad moment for Nickelodeon.V 2 Comments
This is a sad episode of sponge bob just watch it, it made me cry so much
Every Witch Way was Nickelodeon's greatest show in years, and after only 4 seasons, they decided to end it, I know some of you might think 4 seasons is long enough, but each season only lasted a month, with an episode airing each weeknight at the same hour during a season, It could've ran for 7 seasons, the largest seasonal window for live-action that Nickelodeon could ever allow, but it didn't, it only ran for 4 seasons, which is always the maximum window on Disney Channel, This is Nickelodeon, not Disney Channel, and also, Every Witch Way even saved Nickelodeon from being empty and at risk of going off-the-air, as Nick Studio 10 dropped Nickelodeon's ratings by 30%, passing the #1 kids' channel crown to Disney Channel, Every Witch Way had a deep plot, which most of the other modern Nickelodeon shows don't have, it was an action/drama/comedy hybrid and it didn't even have a laugh track, which the others have, Nickelodeon has made a lot of good shows back then, then as each good one ...more - nelsonerica
This show was Donkey poo, Good Riddance! - kcianciulli
Worst thing you did dan shciedner
Nickelodeon used to be such a good channel back then, but they took away the classics, that was such an evil and sad thing to do, Good shows have become rare to make nowadays. - nelsonerica
So sad I grew up with them
Making Fiends was a HUGE masterpiece for Nickelodeon, and after a few episodes, they cancelled it, What was Nick thinking, It was such a great show, and they decided to cancel it before making more episodes, it didn't even have a finale, - nelsonerica
I watched this every morning on nicktoons this was the best show I've seen 9.5/10 - Danguy10
That's true I like sponge bob the best on the nicalodain and sometimes sad
Nickelodeon has become crap with shows like iCarly, The Might B, Back at the Barnyard, Fanboy and Chum Chum, Planet Sheen, Fred: The Show and Movies, Nick Studio 10, Sanjay and Craig, Breadwinners, The Thundermans, Max & Shred, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn, Oggy and the Cockroaches, Bella and the Bulldogs, Make It Pop and Pig Goat Banana Cricket, Those are all the bad modern shows that Nickelodeon aired so far, Nickelodeon needs to stop with their brain-washing job and get back to making good, entertaining shows. - nelsonerica
Nickelodeon, Disney Channel and Cartoon Network used to be such good channel, but they took away all of their good shows and replaced them with garbage, Think about good shows such as Invader Zim, Clarissa Explains It All, Doug, The Adventures of Pete & Pete, Ren & Stimpy, Rocko’s Modern Life, Kappa Mikey, The Wild Thornberries, Are You Afraid of the Dark, CatDog, Catscratch, Kenan & Kel, SpongeBob SquarePants (1999-2004 version), The Fairly OddParents (2001-2009 version), The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius, Avatar: The Last Airbender,My Life as a Teenage Robot, Drake and Josh, Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, Edgar & Ellen, El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, The Penguins of Madagascar, House of Anubis, Big Time Rush(meh) and The Legend of Korra(cancelled because of low ratings), then they took them away and then they made bad shows such as iCarly, The Mighty B!, Back at the Barnyard, The Troop, Victorious (meh plot, but bad humor/acting), Bucket & ...more
And WITS Academy just got cancelled after just one season, Nickelodeon is garbage now. - nelsonerica
Made me cry so hard, but I'm glad they ended it as strong as they did. - BeanBag343
This is one of the more better things.
I like that it ended
Worse! It got revived into the Adult Party Cartoon, which turned out to be a disaster.
Nickelodeon ruined everything.
This Made Me Want to Punch Cyma Zarghami in The Stomach! - kcianciulli
Too stupid anyways Dora is dumb.
All That was a franchise and a sketch show with a variety of events taking place as well as comedy, It ran for a long time, but they decided to cancel it, and that was dumb, the new All That sucked because of the new characters, compared to the old one, but they shouldn't have cancelled it. - nelsonericaV 1 Comment
Nickelodeon G.A.S. was a variety block of game shows that always leave you entertained, and slimed, they took it all away, it suckes to have Nick take away good things including this. - nelsonerica
Nickelodeon was the number 1 kids' channel, but that was until Nick Studio 10 aired, and then, because of how bad it was and since it interrupted the best parts of the best shows, they dropped Nickelodeon's ratings by 30%, making Disney Channel the #1 kids' channel, Disney Channel sucks, but it has gotten better, and Nickelodeon has barely improved and is worse than Disney Channel, it almost got put off air after that until Every Witch Way came on, which had a plot and morals and no laugh track that entertained many people and made Nickelodeon once again decent. - nelsonerica
What's even worse is that the woman whose breasts got exposed doesn't even look like a woman. It looks more like a duck!
Nick made it's version of a show, Oggy and the Cockroaches, and it was bad that it ripped off Tom and Jerry, just like the other versions did, but what really struck everybody was the moment where a sexual body part appeared in a picture frame in an episode, the incident was reported all over news programs, with an 8 year old being yelled at by his mom about what he just saw, Thankfully, the episode got banned, but it's such a horrible thing that Nickelodeon would let kids see such a horrible thing happen in their childhood. - nelsonerica
Nickelodeon made it’s version of a popular show, Oggy and the Cockroaches, we knew it was going to be a rip off of Tom & Jerry, just like in all of the other versions, but what really struck everyone, was that one scene, where a highly graphic female body part appeared on a duck in a picture frame in the background, it was reported all over news programs, and an 8 year old boy got yelled at by his mom about the scene, It’s just so sad that Nickelodeon and modern television would harm children and show them such inappropriate things, like porn, which Disney Channel showed kids in some places for 6 minutes during an interruption of the Lilo and Stich Movie and Handy Manny, good thing that episode got banned everywhere, but it was horrible to even have in the first place.
The animation is good, like Ren & Stimpy or Rocko's Modern Life, but the plot is bland and there's more bathroom humor than plot, yet the episodes rip off episodes of other shows.
Danny Phantom, one of Nickelodeon's best cartoons, got cancelled, there could've been more episodes, it had a good plot and had such interesting lines, too bad Nick decided to cancel it too soon, it was a big mistake.
Blue’s Clues (the Steve version) was one of Nick Jr’s greatest shows ever, Dora: the Explorer sucked so much because she can’t see anything nearby and she yells at everyone, yet she wanders and stereotypes Mexicans, Yet Nick decided to cancel Blue’s Clues and keep Dora running, Blue’s Clues wasn’t good after Steve got replaced with Joe, but it shouldn’t have been cancelled, thank god it got cancelled in 2015, but it shouldn’t have even happened, yet it even got a spinoff, Dora and Friends: Into the City.
We all know that The Legend of Korra got low ratings near it's latest season, but that was no reason to take it away, and have it only online, yet the online version got much lower ratings, Nick and Viacom were too stupid to do that.
WITS Academy was a good show, whereas almost everything else on Nickelodeon is crap, SpongeBob is getting better though, and there's Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and The Loud House, but for live action, WITS Academy was the last good Nick show ever, it was entertaining to watch, and it had characters from Every Witch Way.
Just after it was finishing its Season 1 marathon before Season 2 would premiere, it got cancelled, for whatever reasons, like low ratings on a good show, or if the actress decided to leave, it should not have been cancelled, it was Nickelodeon's last hope for live action, now there aren't any more good shows besides those few.
