382 My Little One - Tose Proeski ft Kristjan

It is so sad. it is like he was saying goodbye in this song, and then he died.

383 Send in the Clowns - Judy Collins

This is an old one but it can deftly stab the core of your heart as line by line it reminds you of love, loss and feeling foolish. How Judy Collins sings this is what makes it so special. The pain in her voice is unmistakable. If you've never heard it, do give it a listen!

384 Streets of Philadelphia - Bruce Springsteen

Sad song w/ a nice vibe. It matches the undertones of the film Philadelphia

Amazing sad song... It goes in the deepest part of my soul!

this music was written especially for the philadelphia film. the movie is very sad but even who don't watched can appreciate the sadness

385 Never Dreamed You'd Leave in Summer - Stevie Wonder

I simply adored this song, until I realized how very depressing it is. Its still very beautiful though

386 Nutshell - Alice In Chains

You cannot listen to Nutshell without a feeling of sadness and remorse. The tone of the guitar in this song, as well as the steady drums make the song sound so somber. The lyrics and the vocals that Layne provided for the song show off even more remorse, and even during the end guitar solo you can't help but feel very sad. - NuMetalManiak

Thank you for putting this up... So heartfelt and needs to be in top 5.. Rip layne staley

Even sadder if you see Layne Staley, who was detoriated from heroin and cocaine addiction by that time sing it on the unplugged version.

This song is about Layne Staley's addiction to heroin. His voice is so chilling and dark - especially on the MTV Unplugged Version where he is in a terrible state.

If you haven't heard it already, you really need to hear it...

387 Daddy - Korn

It's about the singer's experience of being molested as a child. How can you get any more sad than that? That's horrifying!

388 Nobody Home - Pink Floyd

Great, and sad, song. One of the greatest bands

389 See You Again - Wiz Khalifa

At the very top of my playlist... listening to it right now as I type

This song is so sad it should be in the top ten

This and One Man Can Change The World is sad

R.I.P. Paul! This should be on the top five! A couple days ago, when I went to a skating party, and they put this song on! I was resting my legs and then I just got up and skated through the entire song!

390 The End of the World - Skeeter Davis
391 Terrible Things - Mayday Parade

. I'm surprised this amazing song wasn't on the list. It is one of the saddest songs I have ever heard. It is about the narrator, who falls in love with a girl. They are so in love, and they have a child. But, the narrator soon finds out that his one true love is sick, and only has weeks to live. It is one of the most passionate, heart-wrenching songs ever. Please listen to it. And vote. For this song is truly amazing, and incredibly sad.

I've only recently become a fan of this band and I can see me still being one in the future but this song hit me so hard and I can tell you that's if you haven't heard this amazing song you need to go and listen to it now.

I still cry every time I hear this song. It breaks my heart, because it could be a possible situation in anyone's life.

Only song that has put me close to tears

392 Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word - Elton John
393 Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol

This song gets to you man

I can't belive this song is this far down the list. it's really one of the saddest ones out there. I first discovered it off Greys anatomy and honestly, when I lost my best friend to cancer, I used to listen to this song on repeat and lay in my roof staring at the stars. it really helps, it just sparks a nerve that makes you remember everything. the acoustic version is very good too, it's just a good song overall. it really just brings tears to my eyes because it reminds me of her. I miss you Ariel.

394 Deep Down - The Country Funkin Do-Dahz

awesome vocal by Ronnie Domp, gives me a shiver!

395 My Love, My Life - Abba
396 Epiphany - Staind

It's easy to find a Staind song that's acoustic and driven with sadness, and Epiphany is of no exception. The lyrics in the chorus, as stated, show depression and solitude, and so does the line "so I talk to you like children". The drumming during the chorus is a march-type of drumming of the sad kind. - NuMetalManiak

"its always raining in my head" an anthem for depression and solitude. A tear jerker for self reflection.

397 This Woman's Work - Kate Bush
398 Empty Tears, Empty Hearts - Hale

it's a song from their 2nd album "twilight"
this song really made my eyes pour down tears from what i've experienced before... it the lyrics and the tune shows the real emotion of it's theme - jully

399 Little Susie - Michael Jackson

I bawl my eyes out every time I hear this. The best MJ song of ALL TIME! So beautiful, and so heartbreaking at the same time.. And such a perfect melody..!

400 Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen

"Good bye everybody, I've got to go. Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth. Mama I don't wanna die, but sometimes wish I was never born at all" that line made me cry, nothing described my feelings at the time like that line that

If you listen to the first 2 minutes of it, it makes you wanna cry. The song isn't really the best but gets better. It's still depressing!
