Canada is very proud of having so many mentally ill people running loose. Canadian Human Rights always side with the person committing the offense, as long as they are not white, white people are always thrown under the bus, they only get to foot the bill. Canada sucks just like so many other countries, and in a few years it will suck even more. Canada is the world in condensed form, look at the world, look at Brussels, Paris, Copenhagen, London, Ottawa, the ME and other places where people are killed going about their daily lives on an almost weekly basis. It's just a matter of time before it happens in Canada. People don't get along, they pretend to get along. New Zealand is great. Heaps of food sources, jobs and happy people. If a war broke out New Zealand has heaps of hills so it is hard for ships, planes and helicopters to launch bombs here. It has heaps of trees, nice little walks and a few big cities so you can go to the pub and shop. Overall I think New Zealand should rank higher in this list.

It's surrounded by water and does not bored onto other countries. I think it's safer then United States.

I recently moved to Japan from the USA and it's amazing. The cities are so bright and so beautiful, the lakes are so good to go canoeing in, and there's tons of family activities. So many fairs and festivals, the food is amazing, and the overall government is great. It's easy to live on a tight budget, and no, NOT EVERYTHING IS SUSHI! They have the best hamburgers in the world.

I've lived in South Korea, Canada and China my life. Now going to live in Japan due to marriage. I can strongly say that Japan is most safest country to live. Canada became lesser safe and mannered due to pouring in of immigrants.

Yes knowing Japanese is plus and it takes time to make friends with locals but it is doubtlessly the most polite, disciplined, safe place in the world. crime rate is very low, you almost always get your lost items back.

Japan its good only for Japanese not for all people, I think Australia or Canada or Norway or Switzerland they are better than Japan

I can't believe that you put Australia behind some of those other countries where you get shot just walking down the street, at least we now have decent gun laws unlike most of the countries above and you can go to hospital and not have to give up your first born.
Australia will always be safer just look how far we are from anyone else!

Actually with Obama signing executive orders on things that should be reviewed by Congress, its only going to get worse. The raise of the minimum wage for example. Yes on the outside it seems like it would be good, but companies are going to start compensating for that lost money such as raising prices and firing employees (thus only increasing the unemployment rate. So while it may seem like it's starting to get better, it's really not. And no, I'm not some random person who hates on the US, I am an American citizen, born and raised, experiencing this down spiral first hand.

Do not base he actions or inactions of Obama if you are selection the best country to live in. Obama will soon be leaving office (thank God) The US is the most powerful country in the world. Peace is always determined by strength, weak countries never survive. We should however be careful not to worry about the entire world. We should take of our people first and help our friends later. We take care of everyone even those that hate us. This is a big mistake. We are blessed to live in the US.

Maybe so, but we also have one of the highest incarceration rates in the world. Mostly for non violent drug offenses which have enriched the police through seizures of property and private, corrupt prisons. We need to fix that broken system by giving treatment to addicts and not prison time - free up some space so the "peaceful and well-behaved" pedafiles and rapists serve their entire sentences.

No, no, no, no. I live in America, it's not safe what so ever, all I here on the news anymore is shootings here, and terrisom there. The presidents(most of them) have made terrible choices and they decide to act on events years later. If it wasn't for everyone about of how "evil and terrible" theocracies, monarchies, and communist(okay that is pretty bad) this country wouldn't be a democracy.
