Chile is pretty safe right now. It used to be a hellhole like 20 years ago but is prety safe now, just don't go outside in the dark!

This is one of the safest coutntries in South Amerca along withg Argentina, besides, the mountains are beautiful, I recommend you to go to this country, be careful still, but count on that it's one of the safest countries in South America. Just be careful in Buenos Aires.

4 Bolivia

Now this is where the dangerous countries arrive! Bolivia is the poorest country in South America, just look at the capital city Sucre! It looks so bland and boring and poor!

5 Suriname

Some political worries and that's just it! Pretty safe country! Paramaribo may be kinda dangerous but it's sure as heck better than Caracas or anything like that! And overall, pretty safe and sound.

It's sad to see my favorite country of South America being this dangerous. At the moment, 2017 has really been bad for Peru, there's an active volcano near Lima (the capital city) and yeah, apart from that, there are A LOT of tourist traps here, so if you're an Inca lover and a lover of Peru, procced with caution, there are also fake taxies that will rob you here, so overall, procced with caution if you want to go here.
