Anton Chigurh is a fictional character and the main antagonist of Cormac McCarthy's 2005 novel, "No Country for Old Men."
In the 2007 film adaptation of the same name, he is portrayed by Javier Bardem. Chigurh is that compressed, yet hollow unease that blossoms in your stomach's pit like when you know you've wandered into a very wrong neighborhood.
It's as if this guy just stepped out of a horror movie. Brilliant!
