Top 10 Scariest Kids Movie Moments

The Top Ten
1 Judge Doom - Who Framed Roger Rabbit
2 Large Marge - Pee-wee Herman's Big Adventure

I remember when my brother and I were little. We were staying in a hotel (I'm a fifteen-year-old girl and he is twelve by the way) and we were watching this movie since we all loved it and I still do. Anyways, we were getting to the Large Marge part and as she was saying, "It looked like..." I could see my brother shaking his head "no" with a sad, scared look on his face.

I kind of find it hilarious, it's like earthworm jim taking a humungous crap.

3 Tunnel of Hell - Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

How can this NOT be on the list?
They have jumpscares of messed up images. A snake slithering on someone's lips, a chicken getting its head cut off, and more! Wonka even sings the creepiest poem ever made for a kids movie. How is this rated G?

Basically, you see a bird getting killed, a kid eating live worms, etc. while Willy Wonka speaks creepily.

I don't get why a tunnel would be scary compared to say a 400lb cockroach alien.

4 Bill Sikes murdering Nancy near London Bridge - Oliver!

For youngsters in 1968 the most frightening thing to grace their movie screens wasn't Robert Helpman's Child Catcher, it was Oliver Reed's Bill Sikes.

This was a man who not only kidknapped a small child but also exploited him by using him as a pocket sized accomplice during his robberies, his fiancee Nancy took pity on young Oliver and tried to reunite him with kindly Mr Brownlow and just as Nancy almost reunited the pair, Bill Sikes comes out and murders the closest thing Oliver had to a mother figure by bludgeoning Nancy with a crowbar. Even his dog was scared of him from that point on.

5 Field of Blood - Watership Down
6 Bill Sikes threatening Fagin - Oliver!

Oliver Reed is to some still the most terrifying incarnation of Bill Sikes.

Bill Sikes: Have you ever heard the sound that a chicken makes when it's-a-wringling 'round its neck?
Fagin: (while being strangled) Can't say I have...
Bill Sikes: They squawks Fagin. They squawks.

Bill Sikes was the true villain of Oliver! Mr. Bumble was just a pantomime bully whilst Fagin was just a harmless charlatan.

7 Mr Bumble's bellowing of the word "More!" - Oliver!

Harry Secombe did it in such loud bellowing.

Oliver: Please sir, I want some more.
Mr Bumble: What!
Oliver: Please sir, I want some... more?
Mr Bumble: MOORE!

Then look at the fright in Oliver's face before he drops his bowl.

A scrawney timid little orphan being shouted at by a full grown 400lb+ beadle with an operatic voice. And you think some cartoon queen uglifying herself is more frightening?

8 Pleasure Island - Pinocchio
9 Child Catcher - Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Remeber kids, don't be around candy or strangers because they equal trouble.

I know right he's just a disturbing character.

This guy freaked me out as a kid!

10 The Spider - Coraline

The original nightmare fuel, Coraline was actually the first movie to be rated PG in 2d and PG-13 in 3d. This movie is so macabre it still inspires unrest today. I saw it when I was seven, and I was never the same.

I drew a picture of the Other Mother and my friend who loves this movie had nightmares from the picture and the movie.

It scared the heck out of me as a kid, and I haven't seen the whole thing again since! waht do you think that says?

It gave both me and my sister nightmares. The gargoyle is representing God pulling Frollo into hell. IN A DISNEY MOVIE. God that is scary. In a Disney movie no less.

21 Hellfire - The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Quick shutout to the Banshee, this is just... It's moreso now than then, but this scene always, for no reason scared me as a kid.

22 The Coachman - Pinocchio
23 Pink Elephants - Dumbo

I love watching this with little kids. Because they don't know whether to be scared or gleeful. DUMBO IS DRUNK.

24 The Foot - Diary of a Wimpy Kid

It was replaced by The Muddy Hand in The Book.

25 Crazy Bruce - Finding Nemo

The reason why it is scary is because he had RED EYES! And he does the HERES joney from the shining. When I saw it. It scard me to death

Actually he had black eyes but that was pretty close.
