While Vacancy didn't scare me or my then 9 year old daughter in the least we both found it to be such a good movie that we have now watched it dozens of times. And it always pops up in our top 20 faves. If you haven't seen it get up and go watch it.
Best movie ever. this should be in top 5 movie. I saw this movie when I was 2006th year old now after three years I saw this movie too this is my favourite movie ever and ever. mm
One of my all time favorite.
This movie is done very well and if you get yourself into it... It is very horrifying!
Scared me to death! I slept with the lights on for at least three or four nights! This is one of them movies where you have to check you closets, underneath the bed, and behind the shower curtain in the bathroom, and last but not least... DO NOT go into the basement alone laugh out loud.
An old movie, scared the stuffing out of me as a child I couldn't sleep with the light off for 2 weeks. I'm in my 40's now and I'm still scared to watch it again.. It was so realistic to me.
The one from 1999 is much more scarier!
Scary seeing all of those fit women being eaten alive. Gets you horny though.
Gerry good movie was pretty scarey really enjoyed it a lot though
You r kidding right? Grave encounters at 72? The tape was one hell of a scary ride... It may not be #1 but certainly deserves a spot in top 10
Brilliant film. I don't get scared easily but this one really got me good.
Why is it so scary? Its not the so called demons or ghosts that scared me it was the fact that time and the place it self becomes distorted... Interested?
Watch the film to find out.
Best movie ever! I had no clue what would happen next. The sequel is just as good, if not better! I recommend people to watch this movie with friends or girlfriends...

I think that Halloween 2 2009 is the best cause Tyler mane puts a little more angrnes to the characterized Michael Myers

112? Wrong List! Very frightening movie!
When that guy came out of the floor with no skin and all his bones and muscles showing
All time favourite, and so low on this list.
Why the hell is this 137!?
If you looked up the definition of pure terror in the dictionary, it would probably tell you to look up Hellraiser
I've seen just about every horror movie there is, and while there are many very good ones, this is the only movie that has truly terrified me. I can sit in a dark house alone and watch The Exorcist, Shining, you name it. No problem. But I've only watched Ringu once, many years ago, and have been too scared to see it again.
Sometimes I wish I'd never seen it.
This version is superior to The Ring, if only for the T.V. scene at the end. The American one ruins this scene by, first of all, showing the girl's face- it's just a zombie. Or just an angry girl with dirt all over her pale face. The Japanese one leaves more to the imagination. Showing the eye and keeping it mysterious gives it a more unsettling arcane horror, or perhaps terror, rather than simply the sight of a zombie. In the American Ring, there are lights everywhere and there is a wide open space. In the Japanese one, it is dark and the guy is in a dim, claustrophobic space.
Ringu is the earliest version of The Ring and is in Japanese. I must say this is much scarier than The Ring, especially the haunted video!
Bored me so much. - kaisietoo
A woman whose lsot her daughter struggles to save a child alone from terrible monsters who massacre marines. A terrifying setting and characters you truly care about.
This is the scariest movie ever. I jumped all through this movie when normally I'm laughing and finding them funny
This movie made me jump backwards a couple of times, I was expecting it to scare the hell outta me.
Why isn't ouija origin of evil higher than this - cadespencer

Do not watch this alone
God almighty. Words can't describe this. It's one of those movies that sends you to church like a bitin' sow. Don't watch alone. - Terroredneck
