Best Scenes In The Film Misery
Stephen King's Misery has to be the greatest thriller of all time. Twn main characters and a struggle for freedom. He wakes to find deranged Annie looming over him. She is NOT a happy birdie...
Those immortal words said by Misery book series fanatic Annie Wilkes. That very sentence we realise Paul Sheldon is in trouble.
She completely ruins Paul's plans for an escape attenpt by knocking over her glass of wine. A defeated Paul can only make a toast tn just plain misery then.
This is the scene where everything changes. How is Paul going to get out?
I like this the by the way.
I still get goosebumps wondering if he'll make it...
Annie and that mallet... The raw, animal pain that actor James Caan displays in this scene should go down in history. Excellent!
I love this scene. I feel for Paul. All those months of hard work, literally going up in smoke. And he stares in utter sadness at tiny blackened pieces of his manuscript floating about.
"It all right here." he says, striking the match and putting the flame to the page...
Wow! You really want Paul to escape but Annie is just as determined to keep him her prisoner.
The end. But it's clear that Paul still has Annie Wilkes on his mind...
