Kid Rock and Tommy Lee were involved in an altercation during Alicia Keys's performance. Lee was sitting with magician Criss Angel when the two went to visit Diddy, who was sitting close to Kid Rock. Kid Rock allegedly punched Tommy Lee in the face. The two were broken up, and both were escorted from the resort.
Here's what happened; At the 2009 Video Music Awards, country singer Taylor Swift won Best Female video for " You Belong with Me." During her acceptance speech, rapper Kanye West unexpectedly showed up on stage. Taking the microphone from Swift, he announced "Yo Tay, I'm really happy for you, and Imma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time".

Here's what happened; Backstage before the show, Guns N' Roses vocalist Axl Rose challenged Cobain to a fight. So moments before Guns N' Roses's "November Rain" performance, Cobain spat on the keys of what he thought was Axl's piano. It was actually Elton John's. Cobain later revealed that he was shocked to see Elton John play on the piano he had spat on.
This happened during Nirvana's performance of "Lithium". Near the end of the song, frustrated that his amp had stopped functioning, bassist Krist Novoselic decided to toss his bass into the air for dramatic effect. The rest is history.
During Oasis' performance of "Champagne Supernova", lead vocalist Liam Gallagher made rude gestures towards his guitarist & brother Noel as he was playing his guitar solo, then spat beer all over the stage before storming off.
Here's what happened; Limp Bizkit & Rage Against The Machine were nominated for the award in Best Rock Video. Limp Bizkit won. As vocalist Fred Durst spoke during their acceptance speech, Rage Against the Machine bassist Tim Commerford climbed onto the scaffolding of the set & rocked the prop back & forth. He later said that RATM was robbed of their award. Commerford and his bodyguard were sentenced to a night in jail. RATM vocalist Zack de la Rocha reportedly left the awards after Commerford's stunt. This apparently caused a rift between the members of RATM & soon after the band broke up.
This will definitely go down in history as one of the most infamous moments in the history of the Oscars. Will Smith is now banned from them for 10 years because of the slap.

During her performance of "I kissed a girl", Perry jumped atop a giant cake. That part was on purpose, but it’s hard to imagine the rest was. She and the floor were both so covered with icing, she fell not once, but four times before crawling away.
