Top 10 Shockingly Good TV Shows, Movies and Video Games that Came from Bad Trends
Trend (noun) - whatever pop-culture movement happens to be hip and popular with fans and/or producers of any given media at any given timeI'm sorry to have to admit that the Animated Series utterly DESTROYS these films (as well as the Arkham video game series), but I still greatly enjoyed them regardless (Joker and most especially Two-Face in particular more-often-than-not giving off borderline cringe-inducing levels of Shadow The Hedgehog vibes notwithstanding)
Good thing Christopher Nolan exists
Ironically, this show actually FIXED nearly everything that was (often horribly) wrong with the original Ren & Stimpy and also provided massively better and more refined execution of nearly all of R&S's greatest strengths in the process, forming EASILY one of THE greatest shows ever made, period (those who say otherwise should probably rethink their analysis)
Unfortunately, however, it was later "followed up" by such utterly putrid cesspool scum as Mega Babies, Fanboy & Chum-Chum, Brothers Grunt and Pig Goat Banana Cricket (and also Spongebob, which is a fairly good show overall but is still FAR beyond overrated if its fans seriously think that it's even nearly AS good as this one, let alone better)
Unfortunately a trend that practically NOTHING good whatsoever has come out of since (looking at you, Cartoon Network)
Which, of course, leads up to undeniably one of THE greatest (albeit most absurdly and tediously drawn-out) movie fight sequences of all time between Anakin and Obi-Wan on Planet Mustafar, a planet that I can more or less ASSURE you was edited into Star Wars canon for the sole purpose of providing a ridiculously epic environmental backdrop FOR said fight
Provided that you're playing multiplayer with more than two players, at least
(for the record, even Melee's single-player is NOT even remotely what it's cracked up to be)
Before 2018's Infinity War, Disney/Touchstone had a crossover of characters including Disney's Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny from Warner Brothers. Robert Zemeckis may have won an Oscar for directing Forrest Gump, but Roger Rabbit's movie became a successful crossover film that will be passed onto future generations. Ppppllleaaseee!
Oh, and also the much later Wreck-It-Ralph to a lesser extent, but Ready Player One just completely butchered it
Another bad trope that it fixed was the "bad guy protagonist" cliche.
Which yes, I know it was an extremely blatant parody of, but STILL
Honestly, CTR was actually a far more in-depth game than the real thing in this case
Debatably the crown jewel of the Zelda series, honestly (and I say this as someone who utterly LOATHES Skyrim beyond comprehension)
Go ahead, just TRY and go anywhere near hallucinogenic drugs and microwave dinners after your first time seeing this film; the deterring effect sure as hell IS considerably stronger than many give it credit for, let me tell you
Don't get me wrong, Requiem for a Dream is one of my favorite movies ever. However, I don't really consider it an art-house/art film by any means.
