Top Ten Best Shooters In NBA History

The Top Ten
1 Larry Bird Larry Joe Bird is an American retired professional basketball player who played for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association. Bird is a 3x champ, 1x ROTY, 1x Finals MVP, 3x 3PT Contest winner, all with the Boston Celtics. (1979-1992)

Simply the best pure shooter the NBA has ever seen! Not only would he hit the game winning shot but before he did that he would tell the opposing coach or player where on the court he would do it! Amazing! Just incredible confidence and shooting ability! What can you say he's the best ever not sure who's second? I mean who walks into the a locker room at the all star game starts staring at all the other players and says I'm just looking to see who comes in second because I'm winning this 3 point contest then goes out and blows everyone away! He's amazing just amazing!

Basically Has a scoring Game similar to Carmelo Anthony's, except for the fact where he is not nearly as strong, which makes him not as dominant and makes it more difficult for him to score. I am definitely not a fan of him, but you cannot deny in terms of scoring ability, the dude has talent.

You just can't argue this fact. He had no athleticism, yet he scored at will. Oh, and he won 3, 3-point contests, consecutively. Even though he would rather pass the ball, if his team needed him to do so, he could put up 60 points

Larry would kick ass in today's NBA. Back when he played there was a LOT more contact going on in the NBA between players on the floor, and he still made the shots. Smartest player EVER.

2 Stephen Curry Wardell Stephen Curry II is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is widely considered to be one of the greatest shooters in NBA history, if not the greatest. He is one of the most beloved stars in the NBA today, as well as one of the most controversial.

I can't say he's the best overall player on this list, but in my eyes, he will easily go down as the best shooter to ever play the game.

Stephen Curry is the best ever in the whole wide world and whoever didn't vote him, you are COLD.

Steph Curry greatest shooter of all time most 3 points ever in a regular season 402 with a 50/40/90 shooting enough said.

3 Reggie Miller Reginald Wayne Miller is an American retired professional basketball player who played his entire 18-year National Basketball Association career with the Indiana Pacers.

Everyone knew Reggie was taking the shot and it didn't matter.

4 Jerry West Jerry Alan West is an American retired basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association.

Similar to A.I., except his competition at the time wasn't nearly up to par with that of Allen Iverson's, which takes off points with me, and drops him heavily on the list. Nonetheless, a very skilled quick versatile scorer, and that just barely makes him worthy of a spot on this list.

The most underrated shooter ever.

5 Ray Allen Walter Ray Allen, Jr. is a former American professional basketball player who is currently a free agent.
6 Chris Mullen
7 Kobe Bryant Kobe Bryant (1978 - 2020) was an American retired professional basketball player. He played his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association. Kobe Bryant has won 5 NBA championships with the Lakers and was the all-time leading scorer in Lakers franchise history. He Retired in 2016. He died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California at age 41.

In terms of Pure Scoring Ability, I believe Kobe Bryant is the greatest Player ever to ever pick up a Basketball. If you take the time to really dissect and break down Kobe Bryant's Offensive skillset, you should be able to see why he is the hardest player ever to guard. His combination of Speed, and uncanny incredible shooting ability enables him to improvise a countless number of moves in traffic from virtually anywhere on the court and still get his shot off before the defender can reach him. All of those traits that he took the time and worked extraordinarily hard to develop and master are why he excels on the fastbreak and make him impossible to guard in 1 on 1 situations. Not to mention his mamba mentality and killer instinct every time he steps onto the court. But that's neither here nor there.

Kobe scored 81 points and he outscored the Dallas Mavericks that's all I have to say.

8 Steve Kerr Stephen Douglas Kerr is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association.

Still the best % all time. What is your argument?

Are you serious?

9 Pete Maravich Peter Press Maravich, known by his nickname Pistol Pete, was an American professional basketball player.

This guys was a circus entertainer, not a basketball player! He was a amazing! I love how he started form his hip, too

Pistol has by far the most variety of shots. PLus he hits the most ridiculous shots I ve ever seen. He probably would average 28-30 per game in NBA if they had 3 pointers

Everybody should look up to him!

Best shooter ever. Period!

10 Steve Nash Stephen John Nash, is a Canadian retired professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association.

The Newcomers

? Tyson Chandler Tyson Cleotis Chandler is an American professional basketball player for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association.
? Buddy Hield
The Contenders
11 Drazen Petrovic

If he hadn't died in that car accident he coulda been the best player ever. No exaggerating.

Reggie Miller called him the greatest shooter in nba history. End of conversation!

Easily one of the best talents ever! Who knows how good he could have been?

The most forgotten player of all time.

12 Draymond Green Draymond Jamal Green Sr. is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association.
13 Klay Thompson Klay Alexander Thompson is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association.

They say he is stephens wing man but with a little more work he could be better than him

14 Kevin Durant Kevin Wayne Durant is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association. He has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, and the Nets. He was MVP of the 2017 and 2018 NBA Finals.
15 Michael Jordan Michael Jeffrey Jordan, also known by his initials, MJ, is an American retired professional basketball player.

It is without a doubt, no ifs ands or buts, inevitable that I am going to get A LOT of criticism and controversy for this one. I don't blame you either, why would you not defend the Greatest Player To Ever Play. While I do agree that Overall, Jordan is the greatest Ever, I believe there are players that have a better Pure Scoring Ability. Hence, the 5 players above him.

16 Lebron James LeBron Raymone James is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association. LeBron has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and the Lakers.

LeBron is not a shooter he is a dunker and an attacker.

17 Allen Iverson Allen Ezail Iverson is an American retired professional basketball player who played for 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association.

A.I.'s scoring game is very similar to Kobe Bryant, except he is not as good of a shooter. Plus his phenomenal running layup and floater makes it very tough to stay on him. Definitely one of the hardest Players Ever To Guard.

18 Carmelo Anthony Carmelo Kyam Anthony is an American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association.

This guy is one of the only players in NBA History who you can say, is incredible at playing small ball and big ball, in terms of the way he scores. He Is a bull in the post, plus, can shoot and has handles. What is not to like about Carmelo Anthonys Scoring Game?

19 Tim Hardaway Timothy Duane Hardaway is an American retired basketball player, currently serving as an assistant coach for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association.
20 Giannis Antetokounmpo Giannis Antetokounmpo is a Greek professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association.
21 Manu Ginobili Emanuel David "Manu" Ginóbili is an Argentine professional basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association.

The man can score in any way possible.

22 Dirk Nowitzki Dirk Werner Nowitzki is a German professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association.

Strength+Shooting Ability+Post Game gives him the edge over almost anybody that guards him. This allows him to have the ability to make himself a physical presence anytime he wants to. Pure Scorer is just a word that describes Dirk Nowitzki.

One of the best shooters in the NBA and took on Lebron, Wade, and Bosh in 2011 finals victory

23 Dell Curry

He could shoot. Amazing. Speechless

24 Seth Curry
25 J.J. Reddick
