5 Alice in Chains

As usual VH1 ignores anything that has to do with AIC or Layne Staley. They should really listen to their fans, obviously there is something to so many people loving their work.
The Pixies are an American alternative rock band formed in 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts. The group disbanded in 1993 in acrimonious circumstances, but reunited in 2004. The group currently consists of founders Black Francis, Joey Santiago, and David Lovering.
Yes, its influence, but not only directly over groups where it can easily been traced back, i. e Nirvana, but just the whole new understanding of music and creativity. They innovated in the eighties as much as the did the Beatles in the sixties (I really can't believe people don't see it). And more: they gave a total new push to rock-punk music. And more: they did it almost completely out of the blue. I think it's first Beatles and then Pixies, not just because I like them, but because creativity is that: bringing in something that otherwise would not have ever existed (It's like Shakespeare and Cervantes in literature).
LP better than Pixies? Did Linkin Park innovate in music as Pixies? Who do they influenced? Pixies influenced Nirvana, Weezer, and they influenced Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters... - mattlol
