Top Ten Shows About Teenagers

The Top Ten

1 The O.C.

Aside from Marissa drama. Greatest show of this genre. One Tree Hill is up there, but adult characters like Sandy, Julie, and Kirsten push it over the top.

When one thinks of the typical teen show, one thinks of constant drama, well the OC, in my opinion did it the best!

The actors portrayal of the characters is really what makes the show stand out in my opinion. Even if the writing is not always up to par, the characters really shine. - theOpinionatedOne

I love it, but I hate marissa so

2 Vampire Diaries

First off, I'm not a teenager...so I hope my vote still counts. However, I seriously recommend anyone, of all ages, watch this T.V. series. Whether you are male or female, if you like drama, action and the supernatural this is an excellent show to watch for many reasons. I knew nothing about this show when I began watching it last November on Netflix and was shockingly surprised at how well put together it is. From the acting to the story lines to the scripts, it is absolutely amazing. So amazing in fact...that even my husband, a 45 year old U.S. Marine enjoyed it as well. So don't let the show description about a teenage love triangle put you off. It is so much more than that.

This show should be number 1! It always keeps us wandering about what is going to happen next.. It's full of suspense.. And there are some hot guys in it.. Don't you like watching Damon Salvatore?!

Love this it is awesome never will get bored of watching or reading this give this a chance

3 Gilmore Girls Gilmore Girls

So, not exactly a teen show, however, this show is good and the exploration of Rory's life at school and with boys is entertaining enough to make the cut. Who does not love Milo Ventimiglia in his role as Jess?

I love it. Been watching and rewatching for ten years and I think it just gets better with time - hannah_337

Rory's a typical teen. Dropped out of collage (I didn't go) had a bunch of boyfriends, not as many as some people her age, slept with them, etc. - Survivor101

I love this show! My mom let me watch it when I was 11

4 Gossip Girl Gossip Girl Gossip Girl is an American teen drama television series based on the book series of the same name written by Cecily von Ziegesar.

I'm on season four and ill admit its okay, ill maybe change my mind when I finish the series. But truth is there so many others shoes that easily top this one.

Gossip girl is an emotional roller coaster that you will want to ride over and over again.

THE MOST AMAZING SHOW EVER! Chuck & Blair

BEST T.V. sHOW EVER I love the characters, the relationships, the friendships, the drama, the secrets, the murder, everything about it is too good to be true, seriously the most fab show on the planet.

So good and not your typical feel good show. Has amazing plot twists and include unpredictable events with a thrilling end to keep you hanging to the end of each episode. It's really cool.

This show is so mysterious, funny, intelligent, and romantic! It is perfect for a teenager! Its about school drama and regular teenage things, but also murder and mystery to keep you watching. It is well written and has amazing acting and actors! Don't forget all the hotties! (Toby, Ezra, Caleb, Jason, Mike, and many more)

This should be number 2

6 Veronica Mars Veronica Mars

A teen detective, sounds lame, but, not when it comes to V Mars, this show was comedic, sassy, as well and full of lot's of mystery and drama!

This show is amazing, it will make you laugh, cry, and you will fall in love with the characters over and over again.

Best show ever Δ± think veronica is bad ass

7 One Tree Hill

This is an amazing T.V. series. The cast, storyline, drama everything is brilliant. I am obsessed with this show and watch its episodes again and again. I specifically love seasons 1-4, the High School seasons. I almost cried when it ended. It seemed as if my life was over, I am so bonded with it. I just wish there was a real Lucas Scott in my life too.

SO I LOVE this show! It's really addictive and the drama never ends! You get feelings for the characters and smile to yourself. Or frown. Either way, its awesome!

So, not the best show, it's more like my guilty pleasure teen show and as far as guilty pleasures go, this one is pretty good!

11 Freaks and Geeks Freaks and Geeks Freaks and Geeks is an American teen comedy-drama television series, created by Paul Feig, with Judd Apatow as executive producer, that aired on NBC during the 1999–2000 television season.

This show is great because it manages to be very funny, yet at the same time extremely realistic. Its like the Breakfast Club packed into one great show, by showing the different types of outcasts in high school (the freaks and the geeks) and showing how their lives really are away from all the stereotyping.

This should be #1 on the list not 12. This is the single greatest show ever.

An iconic show which never fails to entertain me. Should be higher on this list

Realistic, honest, and hilarious!

It is amazing, especially when you get into it. You just get stuck!

14 Greek

So, this show actually takes place in University, but contains all of the drama of any good teen show. But, as most shows fail after high school this show begins afterward and is all the more interesting for it, as most of the main characters are from Sorority or Frat houses adding an originality to the show not usually seen in teen shows!

love love love it! Comeon and vote for it already! should be in the #1 spot people! - CoolOceanBreeze123

Omigosh I love this show! It actually makes you think about your future and stuff like that. Also, there's a lot of good drama too. Its kind of upsetting how they don't make new episodes anymore

15 Dawson's Creek

I have to admit that I like this show, however, there are many things I hate about it. Like the majority of its main characters. With the exception of Pacey none of them are very likeable. The shows biggest saving grace was putting Pacey and Joey together as a couple. The seasons that explore their relationship are the best of the series.

A good show that could have been better had the characters sans Pacey been bearable to watch. It was truly a relief that Joey and Pacey became a couple, because it honestly saved the show which was what Pacey had already been doing.

Supernatural is the best show ever! Hot Winchester brothers hunting down evil forces all over the U.S. A! No one can resist their charms and you can actually connect to it! All lores shown are mainly real and modified according to the story! A must watch!

This show is awesome. I love the wijchesters!

The acting is one of the most amazing I have ever had the pleasure to watch and the plot, although complicated,is filled of suspense, drama, horror, and the very sad-happy story of two brothers. These brothers have to deal with the supernatural, family drama, and many close calls with the end of the world. Plus Castiel is a very cute, confused angel😍

Helped me get through high school!

Love it, it's mature, but fun.

This show shows a teen what not to do and the alternatives in basically any situation. Although mature,Its an inspiring show to many to follow your dreams. Also, some people may think they wont like it because it's a singing show too,but the songs always go with the situation and completely affects the show in new ways and makes it even more lovable!

21 The Inbetweeners (UK)
22 Awkward

I heard lots of people talking about it, so I thought 'why not give it a shot? ' AND IT WAS THE PERFECT SHOW FOR TEENAGERS AND ABOUT TEENAGERS! Not sexual and all, but where they provide us with subtly put lessons. It's overly dramatic and it's not like the other Disney shows (TOO happy). We need more balance. I think Awkward. is basically just a little over the top with it's sexy-ness. Besides that, it's fine.

It is a really funny show and you really get connected with the characters. I am not sure about Jenna's new attitude though or this Devon girl?
