Top 10 Shows that Used to Be Better

The Top Ten Shows that Used to Be Better

1 The Simpsons The Simpsons is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening that originally started on April 19, 1987 as shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show. It got its own series on December 17, 1989 and is still running as of 2019, making it the longest running animated sitcom. It is about a man named Homer ...read more.

Matt Groening openly said he wants it cancelled, he criticized the people who thinks the new episodes are good, the only reason it's still running is because FOX doesn't want it gone.
Seriously, the plotlines have been ridiculous lately, and they went from having people like Michael Jackson on the show to having annoying pop stars like Justin Beiber.

The Simpsons before they went downhill:
Homer goes to space.
Bart discovers a comet hurling towards Springfield.
Marge becomes a cop.

The Simpsons after they went downhill:
Lisa gets a republican friend.
Lady Gaga comes to town.
A whole episode about a licence plate that sais "YOLO"

Seriously, it's obvious that they are all out of ideas, and they should just end now.

Opinion is divided over WHEN it happened, but it has gone WAY downhill coasting along on its undeserved "legendary" longevity.

It should have been finished years ago, it hasn't been funny for a long time and re-hashing the same story lines just isn't entertaining. They have completely lost the original concept which you see in earlier episodes.

All the current writers, directors, and producers care about these days if being the longest running show ever. Guess what, you did surpass "Gunsmoke" (not that you deserved it), now die though it's far too late to do so with dignity.

2 SpongeBob Squarepants SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated television series created by marine biologist and animator the late Stephen Hillenburg for Nickelodeon. SpongeBob is currently the most popular show on Nickelodeon, as well as the longest running show, running for 20 years, and is beginning its 12th season. ...read more.

I absolutely hate the new Spongebob's. I would rather watch regular show. That show is just plain f* kin stupid. Little kids see the new ones and think it is quality T.V.. They are wrong. They are so wrong.

Since season 9, the show's getting better, but Season 10 is supposed to be the true glory of return from bad back to good.

The characters have gotten annoying, the stories stupid, and the creativity is gone. Hard to believe that this was once the top show of its kind.

This show really sucks now it used to be awesome and hilarious but now its boring I think the writer ran out of ideas I agree with everyone. =)

3 Family Guy Family Guy is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of parents Peter (Idiotic Dad) and Lois (Nagging Wife), their children Meg (Socially Awkward Daughter) Chris (Idiotic Son), and Stewie ...read more.

At the shows 9th season, Seth MacFarlane took Trey Parker's advice to stop doing so many jokes all the time, and start doing more serious episodes. What happened is that Seth over- did it, and that now they moved away from doing all the emotional Bull crap, Family guy has been very bland lately. I directly blame Trey Parker for ruining Family Guy

My older brother used to love Family Guy when we were younger but when the show came back in 2005 he began to hate it. but I still love it and he always bullies and harasses me for loving it.

Emotional? Ha! As if.

Should be Number 1
Was hilarious From season 1-Early season 8

4 Survivor

So repetetive. The only thing that makes big brother not repetetive is it's interesting to see how different personalities react with each other and the alliances that are formed. Survivor is missing this

It used to be fun to watch regular people of all ages from all around the country. Now it's just a bunch of shallow 20ish actors. Zzzzzzzzzz.

Remember when they all looked like they were dieing of starvation and they didn't give them any food, yea that was awesome watch... just wishing for cannibalism to begin...

I used to watch Surviver all the time, but it just went down the drain.

5 The Fairly OddParents The Fairly OddParents is an American animated television series created by Butch Hartman for Nickelodeon.

Well, this show got killed this 2018 after Hartman left for CN. I hope he will save CN if he still have a chance to do so.

6 Saturday Night Live Saturday Night Live is an American late-night live television variety show created by Lorne Michaels and developed by Dick Ebersol.

it's definately not as funny as the old days of it.

Not the same since all The Original Not Ready for Prime Time Players left.

Really crappy now. I prefer MAD TV

Modern SNL is just awful.

7 Buffy the Vampire Slayer Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an American television series created by Joss Whedon under his production tag, Mutant Enemy Productions with later co-executive producers being Jane Espenson, David Fury, David Greenwalt, Doug Petrie, Marti Noxon, and David Solomon. in the beginning each episode was different, sid the dummy, mantis girl, nightmares. Then every episode was about the main storyline and the same. It wasn't as funny either.

Though, in my opinion, it was great all way through, it was definitely superior in season 1 and season 2.

At the end we were all praying for it to end before it became even more lame.

8 Lost Lost is an American television drama series that originally aired on the American Broadcasting Company from September 22, 2004, to May 23, 2010, over six seasons, comprising a total of 121 episodes.

The commercial viewing time seems to be longer then the show viewing time.

This Show Used To Be Really Good Bu Now It's Strange.

1st seasons were nice.. then wot happened? :O

N gez...
I thought I would find Pokemon in the top ten...
No other show could've become that much suckier!

9 Scooby Doo

I'm glad that Whats New Scooby Doo is gine, but why the crappy movies that premiere on Cartoon Network? Even though I am only 14 going on 15, I still like classic Scooby Doo way more than the S--- Scooby Doo you see today! Here is my idea: Make a new Scooby Doo show or movie, but make it an old school Scooby Doo kind of show.

10 Pokemon Pokémon, abbreviated from the Japanese title of Pocket Monsters and currently advertised in English as Pokémon: The Series, is a Japanese anime television series, which has been adapted for the international television markets.

Good way back, but now it's just getting too far up right in Ash's ass. The new episodes are boring, stupid and repeats the same ol storylines. Plus, why is Ash didn't age throughout the series and still a kid?

15 South Park South Park is an American adult animated sitcom created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone for the Comedy Central television network. The show is about four boys, who are Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick, and their adventures in South Park, Colorado.

South Park went downhill when they tried to make fun Phil Collins, that’s when I lost respect (for sometime)

Since season 19, it lost everything and directly went downhill. And season 20 wasn't even better. It's like if they don't even know how to make fun on political anymore.

The series was at its best during season 8, but a lot of the recent episodes are beginning to suck, they just lack originality and clasic moments. The newer seasons focus too much on celebrities and news isues and it should focus more on Stan Kyle Cartman and Kenny being kids and having adventures, like in good times with weapons and make love not warcraft.
