32 Enrico Caruso
Enrico Caruso was an Italian operatic tenor. He sang to great acclaim at the major opera houses of Europe and the Americas, appearing in a wide variety of roles from the Italian and French repertoires that ranged from the lyric to the dramatic.
Generally considered the greatest male singer of all time, would blow Freddie Mercury clean off the stage. All other comparisons are equally laughable. The only singer in history who could hold a candle to him was Luciano Pavarotti.
I partly agree with the visitor comment and I only want to add something. I've heard several things from Enrico Caruso and he is really incredible. I can't say if he has 3 octaves and 4 notes because I didn't hear all his performances. OK, lets suppose he has it (opera singers don't have very wide ranges, Pavarotti has 2 octaves and 2-1/2 notes).
Nobody denies that classical singers have the best vocal skills and they are in a different league. But most of the rock and metal singers on this list deserve praise for what they do and for what they can do. Because at a lower level you have Meghan Trainor, Nicki Minaj, and even Madonna. I mean, Freddie Mercury or Meghan Trainor? - Metal_Treasure
