I do not care how good you may believe others to be - Until you listen to this girl sing, you have not ever known the art of song as it should be experienced. This girl is the definition of true art. She is to song what Mozart was to musical composition. She is the Einstein of musical interpretation. She is the Shakespeare of vocal expression... Jackie's impact on the musical world will be as important a contribution as was the that of Wilbur and Orville Wright on the world of travel. If you do not know of Jackie Evancho, then you best get a clue fast - She is destined to be a major force in our world.
As a singer, nobody on this list is even close to being in the same league with Jackie Evancho. Sure, Adele has written some cool songs, and Eminem can rap. Justin and Taylor are cute, etc. Etc. But no one, and I mean NO ONE, can sing like Jackie Evancho. She has a uniquely beautiful soprano voice that is crystal clear, yet smooth and rich. The expressiveness and range of emotions that she instinctively brings to each song is astounding, and when it comes to interpretive skills, she has no equals - she is simply the best.
Must admit I am biased. For too many years I was lost in the "musical" jungle, (more of a noise fest), from which I found no refuge, until I sat in front of my T.V. with mouth agape and teary eyed, when I heard Jackie for the first time on AGT. Although I had heard a few other Crossover singers like Josh Groban and Adrea Bocelli, they did not really enter into my reality until Jackie came on the scene. She awoke in me something that had been dormant for a very long time and made me realize that I was not musically dead. And there is much more to come from Jackie and her colleagues in the world of Classical Crossover music. I was lost, and now I am found as, I am sure, are so many others. She is indeed a miracle who has made of me a true believer, and am now being rewarded in ways that I cannot yet explain.
Seriously, I wish Jackie had come along much earlier in my life. She has filled a very empty part of my heart and rekindled my love of music that I thought gone forever with all the trash we have been subjected to for much too long. But everything happens at the right time, so they say, and for the right reasons. I am happy that she has come along when she did and hope she will be part of my life for a very long time to come.
