81 Phil Anselmo Phil Anselmo Philip Hansen "Phil" Anselmo is an American musician who is best known as the former lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Pantera. He currently is the vocalist of heavy metal bands Down and Superjoint Ritual.

He should be in the top 10 at least! One of the greatest singers of all time and he's 200. Under Justin Bieber and lady gaga

Best Raw performance. Be brought metal back. Pure emotions and toughness, this Voice brings fears to ears.

By far the one of the best singers on this list! Should be much higher up

82 Bryan Adams Bryan Adams

Bryan Adams should be in top 20 at least. Surprisingly some of the irritating singers like Lady Gaga are above him in ranking.

You are right, I thought he would be in the top 10 list, I don't know how people prefer some of the cheap singers, who are rated on the top list, amazing

come on people you know him - kandiyal

Bryan adams is my second favourite singer, rright behind Hatsune MIku. Normally, I listen to Japanese Pop, and Korean Pop, because I don't normally enjoy these days English music. Bryan Adams is the only actualy singer I can stand to listen to! He's me and my moms favourite

THIS MAN RIGHT HERE IS THE MOST AWESOME SINGER HIS VOICE MAKES MY HEART SKIP BEATS N I GET GOOSEBUMPS. I've LOVED HIM FROM THE TIME I WAS A LITTLE GIRL, TILL NOW. MY WHOLE LIFE ACTUALLY N HE IS STILL MY number 1

I swear the voters on this webpage just fail. Flat-out fail. There is no way Roger Daltrey could be so far on the list. The Who brought us some of the best instrumentalists of all time, plus the best singer, how the hell are they nowhere on this site? - TKDCats312

Roger Daltrey HAS to be one of the top 5 greatest ROCK singers. "Won't get fooled again"
(Who's Next)

It just doesn't get any better!!

That's it. This is the last i ever have to do with this site. It is insulting to see Daltrey so low, Love Reign O'er Me is the epitomy of Rock and Roll. Goodbye.

Roger Daltrey needs to be higher than Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and all the other modern auto-tuners. Roger is a legendary singer.

84 James Brown James Brown

Seriously? #152? Wow, all of you britany spears and lady gaga fanboys/girls need to get your heads out of the proverbial arse of the modern music industry and become enlightened to the king of soul! This may be a bit of a culture shock to you, due to the gaping chasm of class seperating so-called "singers" and true musicians being so unfathomably wide that I weep at the very thought of how they are recognised as todays greats. Classics such as "mans world" are both beautiful and poignent, sending chills to my very core. With such a mastery of tone and pitch, added with iconic performances and personna, I can only hope his music can still thrive amongst the garbage of today.

If it wasn't for this legend, there would be no, and I mean NO michael jackson. Michael jackson is my favorite singer but I have to thank James brown for this reason

James Brown was a great singer for Motown. Michael Jackson thought of him as a role model. I can tell because Michael went to his funeral. Now both of them are in heaven, resting peacefully with God.

The artist that was known as the godfather of soul, the man that created the sound that was funk and the inspiration for artists such as Michael Jackson and Prince along with being one of the most sampled artists in rap deserves way more than a #95 on this list.

Hey! What's up w/ this list! Gerard should be higher than 56. THIS IS so WRONG!

Gerard way hast an amazing voice and is in my opinion just one of the best singer ever.

87 Billy Joel Billy Joel

Billy Joel used to be so popular. He had a beautiful voice, could go high could go low, he could sound like anything. He also had such a natural sense for the music, I remember him just closing his eyes and humming to the beat. Billy Joel created some of the most moving songs that were all- time favorites just two or three decades ago (Piano Man, This is the Time, River of Dreams, Innocent Man, etc). It's pretty sad to see him being lapped by the obnoxious sounding fake singers of our generation, and the rap machines who have no sound. Billy Joel is a legend of music. He deserves better than this.

I just went through this list, and I have to ask you all a question. Are you all stoned or just stupid? This man has some of the best songs over the past 30 years. When I saw some of the people ahead of him, I started to wonder about the idiots who come on this site. Most of them should be wearing a helmet so they don't get hurt. - RdrTech

How is he not higher? What kind of idiots vote on this sight? Good lord, some of the people that top this list are just awful. There are very few artists who had/have more talent than Billy Joel and Elton John. Both of them need to be higher on this list, and it is just sad that they aren't.

Awesome ynow that its me hey called craw

88 Ray Charles Ray Charles Raymond Charles Robinson, professionally known as Ray Charles, was an American singer, songwriter, musician, and composer.

COME ON! For god's sake, Demi Lovato is ahead of him! Great singer, piano-player and one of the most infuential artists of the 20th century.R.I. P! - GuitarZero

How is ray not on top?!? He is the best musician and singer of all time! He invented soul and was considered THE genius of show business. And being behind Corey Taylor makes me want to throw up.

Why is Ray so low on this list, although people like Ariana grande and Demi Lovato are not bad Ray Charles is one of the most influential artists of all time. I understand how people have their own opinions and stuff but do people not understand that Ray is a genius?

How in the hell is Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, and all those singers above this guy. - venomouskillingmachine

89 Brent Smith Brent Smith Brent Stephen Smith is an American singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist of the band Shinedown.

Singer of Shinedown.
One of the most unique and powerful voices in rock history.
One of the most passionate singers I have ever seen or heard.
An incredible songwriter and source of inspiration.
Immensely talented with the microphone and a great person all in all.

Brent is the best by far! Check out any Shinedown album and judge for yourself!

His voice range is amazing but he's not very widely recognized. If anyone reads this check out Smith & Meyers so you can hear some of his amazing covers.

91 Meat Loaf Meat Loaf Michael Lee Aday is an American musician, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor usually known by his stage name Meat Loaf.

Meat has a wonderful voice, sings with passion, has a charismatic presence on stage, still packs arenas after more than 35 years, yet still has humility and is unfailingly gracious to his fans. Puts him at number 1 for me.

Meat Loaf is WAY too low on this list. In fact, there are way too many phenomenal singers too low, this list is terrible. - BraveNewWorld

The power shown in "Bat out of Hell" contrasted with his perfect control in "I'd Do Anything For Love" puts him above everyone else for me.

He's a bit too much for me, theatralic and pretentious but the guy has tongue in cheek, seemes genuinely nice and he also has a great voice love him in 12 monkeys lol - ChatonNoir

Sad that people think he can't sing due to his live performances when this man has lots of talent. The main reason he sounds bad live is because he drinks alcohol due to nerves before singing on stage, and he sounds all drunk and stuff. It ruins his voice and makes people not like his singing voice. But he also has some good performances, like his Violence performance, it was epic. He just needs to deal with live shows in a better way, this man can actually sing. I have heard a video clip where he was just randomly singing, not trying to do his best without autotune or any effects, and he hit some crazy high notes I could never ever hit and sounded good. And he can sing his songs really well without autotune when he is just in his studio practicing songs, not recording. - AnimeDrawer

Oh I am going to go off my head because he is so low on this list. How is he below one direction? He actually puts emotion into his music. Throughout Blink-182, Angels and Airwaves and Box Car Racer, he has some of the best songs ever created. I miss you is one of my all time favorite songs. Tom Delonge is one of the very few musicians that makes music that is powerful enough to leave me in tears.

I know right? One Direction sucks and the band members can't sing, Tom DeLonge would put them all to shame if he performed. He can hit high and low notes, and he can play the guitar really good. I saw his live performances and they are incredible. - AnimeDrawer

I can't believe singers like Rihanna and Taylor Swift are above this talented guy. He should be in top ten. He deserves much more attention, he's got that amazing accent in his singing and his guitar riffs are unlike any other. And I would like to meet him in real life, that would be the bomb. I choose singers for their talent and not for their looks. The 5SOS members look decent, but make bad music. The Blink 182 members aren't the most handsome, but sure make good music. - AnimeDrawer

93 Chris Martin Chris Martin

Seriously? 112?

Chris Martin has such a special and beautiful voice! Why is he not in the top 20?

Coldplay is an amazing band with Chris Martin as an amazing Lead Singer! I just can't understand why people like Nicki Minaj are higher than Chris...

But it's the same with the modern music today... This anaconda is played on the radio...What happened with our world?

Okay, there are also really good songs in the charts and on the radio like The Script or Coldplay songs and I accept every person who has an other taste of music but you can't call Anaconda music!

So what I want to say is that I'm really sad that Chris Martin is so low on this list and that I can't understand why other crap singers are higher than him and by the way...Where is Danny O'Donoghue?

Chris Martin's voice is got to be the best voice I've ever heard in my entire life. He and Coldplay make the world go round with their touching and sensational songs they've written... GO COLDPLAY! - jprg12

Chris Brown before Chris Martin? He should be ranked a lot higher than that. Chris Martin can sing high, medium or low. He has got to be one of the best I have ever heard. He is so inspiring.. - Elaine22

People here are insane. If Taylor Swift is higher than Billy Joel... Just what. This guy deserves at least the top 100. He and his band made awesome music. - okcnaline

Please explain why J Lo and Jason Derulo are above Chris. At least Coldplay's songs can give different emotions, including sad (fix you, the most depressing song ever in my opinion), lively (viva la vida, I think that's how you say it) or pretty mch anything else. The lyrics aren't crazy bull and actually make a lot of sense. Back to just Chris, he is great at the piano and compared to most artists of today above, his voice is amazing. I would've voted axwell / ingrosso but they would probably be over 400 or something, and most people would disagree with my opinion. - mathyfox441

95 David Lee Roth David Lee Roth David Lee Roth is an American rock vocalist, songwriter, actor, author, and former radio personality.

David Lee Roth sang with such spirit, and such personality, but GOOD personality, not like the vulgar, Michael Jackson. Roth should be #1 you guys! - jhismyname

He was a great singer with a great solo career nut his voice isn't what it used to be.

Roth is by far the most expressive and excitable man here... Michael jackson isn't half as good as roth!

I was like so disappointed that an artist as talented as she is is way below than those pop artists, I think that this girl recorded the best songs in history! Just my opinion, I hope she gets more votes in this poll

Incomparable, unbeatable, superb, outstanding. Great voice, unique style. She can make all those above there eat dust.

Just listen no "No presure over capuchino" and you'll certainly agree.

I'm argentinian and Alanis is one of the Canadian singer that got to be known his song are well-known all around the world, she deserves to be nearer the top

She is phenomenal. 102 is way too low for her on any list. If you hear her voice, you'll just know it is her.

97 Nat King Cole Nat King Cole Nathaniel Adams Coles, known professionally as Nat King Cole, was an American singer who first came to prominence as a leading jazz pianist.

There's lots of singers on this list whose music I prefer over Nat King Cole's but that wasn't the question, now was it? Yes, he should be number 1 or at least very close to it!

Trying to claim anyone as "the greatest singer of all time" is extremely arrogant--I'm voting for Nat not as the greatest singer (how could anyone ever presume to know that? ), but because he is certainly much better than everyone listed above him.

Nat King Cole has the most beautifully opened tone EVER! He is, of course, pre-rock... Nat, Ella, Billie, Nancy, Sarah, Frank, Vic, Bing and Pops are on a planet of their own... Only Lennon and McCartney has the jet fuel to get THERE! Miles, Benny, Duke, Glen, Brubeck, George, Ira and Cole dwell there TOO! - frank

Nat King Cole should be in the top five...120...

98 Amy Winehouse Amy Winehouse Amy Jade Winehouse was an English singer and songwriter known for her deep expressive contralto vocals and her eclectic mix of musical genres, including soul, rhythm and blues, and jazz. She is also a well-known member of the 27 Club, as she overdosed on alcohol at age 27.

Amy Winehouse should be in the top 10!

She's amazing!

Why is the people always putting her down because of the drugs? Her voice is very nice! I LOVE HER! - tete02

I should've given my vote to Elvis Presley, but I couldn't. Even though the King is actually the best singer that all the planet has ever known, this girl could sing and write.
As a songwriter, she did what few, few artists (aka: Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Mark Knopfler) could: she took songwriting to another level. Even from the artists I mentioned, she is probably the one who writes with her heart bleeding in passion and can pass exactly that not only to the lyrics, but to the voice. She had a rare way to sing, she was a black woman in the body of a young, beautiful (yes, she was), white girl.
Maybe people still don't understand MJ was truly the number one as a performer. People are still confused about singing and performing. I hope that does not stay and Winehouse goes to the top 5 she deserves in this list.

Ok, she should be a top 10. Come on people. Are you nuts. Plus she makes REAL music. Not plastic.

She was so talented. Her voice is so haunting, it hurts. People saw her at the media favorites push doll or a junkie. But every time her name comes up, I think of her as an emotional jazz singer with fantastic vocals. Even then she was drunk, her vocal came so effortlessly - Chatsa2

100 Phil Collins Phil Collins Philip David Charles "Phil" Collins is an English singer-songwriter and musician, who has also worked as a record producer and actor.

Phil Collins voice is distinctive and makes me stop to just listen. His style was always first class and he brought Genesis a long way. (My opinion. ) On his own, he is still top notch. But he is only this far down on the list because most of the voters are teeny boppers who don't know what a good voice and music are about.

Why is Phil so low on the list? He is an amazing singer. But of course, most of the voters here are just dumb teens who think that Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus are the best. Phil Collins' songs are great and truly inspiring, and several of my favorite songs come from him. With great hits such as "In The Air Tonight", "Against All Odds" or "Another Day In Paradise", how can he be so low on this list? I swear, if we removed the teen voters on this list, he would be on top 10. People now just don't recognize a good voice when they hear it.

People always lamented Gabriel's departure from Genesis in '75. Ironically, the band would be at it's greatest pinnacle of success with Mr Collins at it's helm. His voice is so badass, so awesome and yet so relaxing. It was Collins that made Genesis my favourite band, in the words of Patrick Bateman before Collins their work was 'too artsy, too intellectual'. As much as their are some classics in the early works like 'Supper's Ready', being the lead singer on the greatest concept album of all time, being 'Duke' made me an undeniable fan. Although, 'Face Value' is his only good solo album in my view, Genesis would have undeniably eventually waned out, if Peter Gabriel had just stayed on. Maybe I am too opinionated, but I think Phil Collins is an awesome singer when compared to Peter Gabriel, whom I find both have incredible vocal talents but yet are so different. Phil is the man, Phil is the bomb and it is a disgrace that there are so many Beliebers on this list.

He has an one of a kind voice. You can't listen to him and not no who he is.
