Best Six Flags Great Adventure Roller Coasters
Best roller coasters at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ.The Top Ten
Anyone who's been on this knows this packs the biggest punch by far in the park. The first drop and airtime on this ride is insane and it's incredibly smooth for a wooden coaster which makes it a very enjoyable ride, not like your average wooden coaster. The speed on this feels much faster than the stats say, and it's been proven before that this coaster sometimes reaches speeds of 75 mph instead of 70. Best ride at Six Flags and best wooden roller coaster in the world. - yeyodistributor
Real ranking should go:
1. El Toro
2. Nitro
3. Kingda Ka
4. Superman UF
5. Bizarro
6. Batman TR
7. Skull Mountain
8. Green Lantern
9. The Dark Knight Coaster
10. Blackbeards Lost Treasure Train
Runaway Mine Train is so lame that I even put the junior coaster above it. Nonetheless RMT, BLTT and that other junior coaster nobody rides aren't good rides. Every other coaster in the park I find enjoyable. Green Lantern starts to get annoying and punishes the legs about a minute after the first drop but it's not bad. TDKC is pretty cool but way too short. Skull Mountain is a classic and despite it only being 50 ft tall it's a great coaster, much better than TDK. Batman is a great coaster too but a little too tight and could get very intense and uncomfortable. Bizarro used to be my favorite until I started to prefer roller coasters with high speeds and big hills and air times over inversions. Still a one of a kind, glad they got rid of the annoying sounds ...more - yeyodistributor
This is honestly favorite roller coaster. I've been to SFGA, Kings dominion, Hershey park, cedar point, all the central Florida theme parks and carowinds (before fury opened) and this is still my #1. You can call me crazy, but this is the best roller coaster on the planet hands down. Airtime, fast, intense, surprisingly smooth, and fun!
I guess it could be considered it even though I hated it - Starbreeze
V 8 CommentsMy favorite in the park, it's pretty intense in the back row. What puts it above El Toro for me is : it's taller, faster, the restraints are small, and it's in an open area. The first hill on nitro is way scarier/more intense than El Toro
I prefer Mako at Sea World Orlando, it has both theming and good location ( its near a lake).
My favorite coaster of any park, you can get some insane air time
The floater airtime is no better anywhere else
V 2 CommentsNitro should not be number 1. It should be number 3 behind Kingda Ka and El Toro.
Kingda Ka: I'm the world record holder, you know! I deserve to be number 1!
This is by far the best one in the park
Kingda-Ka is by far the most thrilling ride in the park.
V 1 CommentJust as amazing as Batman
BIZARRO #1
Second best floorless rollercoaster
Top Speed: 61 MPH

First Drop Height: 132 ft.

Bizarro, in my opinion, is the best inverting ride at SFGA. Formerly Medusa up until it's 2008 makeover, this looper offers a combination of thrilling loops and special effects to create a ride that overtakes it's nemesis, Superman, as the better ride. Flamethrowers, lasers, and famous lines from movies are just the beginning on this baby. Bizarro truly is #1 amongst inverted coasters at SFGA, at it lets you know in a big way.
Top Speed: 50 MPH

It has it's flaws, but Batman: The Ride is a classic and a solid inverting coaster. It feels faster than 50 MPH, and though it is also over far too fast, the 5 inversions certainly pack a punch. It's a little jerky, but Batman is still, 21 years later, worth a ride or two every visit to SFGA.
The second coaster beginners should ride. It's only 100 ft, the drop is 84.5 ft, and if you're scared just keep your head back and scream (eyes closed or not.) - Starbreeze
This one is the best for the beginners as it's slow, graceful, feels like you're flying, no stomach drop feeling, 100 foot drop (I can handle those), even the pretzel loop isn't that high, and you just get pushed back like Gravitron or Round-Up during that. SUPERMAN! - Starbreeze
Top Speed: 60 MPH

Superman: Ultimate Flight is unique in that it's a flying coaster, or that your turned on your stomach throughout the coaster. This fits the Superman theme perfectly. The ride is not the tallest or the fastest, but it is fun throughout the whole ride and has its major moment: the pretzel loop. The feeling of being pressed into your seat and feeling like your falling through the air on the loop is extraordinary. This roller coaster will make you feel like the Man of Steel, Superman.

Movie is bad enough

The stand-up coaster is tall, fast, and thrilling, but it's best to do this ride early. If you ride it after a few hours of walking, your legs might be in a little bit of pain. Positioning is important as well, or else your... Area... might be in some pain as well. However, if all goes well, Green Lantern is a solid coaster and a unique experience.
This is the only coaster I rode in the park during my 2010 visit
Another coaster I rode during my class trip - Starbreeze
Note: Rolling Thunder would be in this spot, but sadly it has been demolished.R.I.P. Rolling Thunder.
It's a dark indoor coaster and the feeling like your going to fall off the ride is fun.
The best
It's fun, but it's also a major disappointment. Six Flags could have done so much more with the Dark Knight theme, yet the result was a wild mouse type coaster that failed to bring any thrill factor. It's worth a ride, but nothing special (even though it should have been)
I went on this twice during my class trip - Starbreeze
This one is awesome but tons of twists and turns - Ihateschool
New for 2016
The Contenders
It's a classic, though it's not very thrilling. More of a family coaster then anything. Worth a ride.
I did a clone of this called Canyon Bomber at Six Flags Great Escape. Nothing special. - Starbreeze
This one is boring because it is for children - Ihateschool
Even though it’s just a family coaster, it is special because it is the oldest ride there.
Now called Harley Quinn - Maddox121
RIP - Maddox121
I've never heard of this one is it a defunct ride? - Ihateschool
It is. - Starbreeze
How could you not like this one? It has a bunch of inversions!
Bad
Not even a coaster
I've never heard of this one is it a defunct ride? - Ihateschool
It is. - Starbreeze
This was the ROUGHEST ride in the whole park!
It's called The Joker. - Starbreeze
Will Open In 2016
