1 Birger Ruud Birger Ruud was a Norwegian ski jumper. Born in Kongsberg, Birger Ruud, with his brothers Sigmund and Asbjørn, dominated international jumping in the 1930s, winning three world championships in 1931, 1935 and 1937.

If it was large will events and team events back in the 30s and 40s, and if there wasn't the World War II, Birger Ruud would surpass all other ski jumpers in terms of medals.
